its added last week, so it could be related to upcoming event it could also be a new mechanic for the next season we wont know until its even more active
Regarding the pillar, it has Elder Futhark runes in alphabetical order, or at least as close as it can get, from top to bottom going left. You can turn it or click on the runes, but nothing seems to happen yet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elder_Futhark
That is really neat that they will be tying the two together. I am newer to the games but so great to see such depth and support.
That reminds me, I need to get back into playing NT4 beta. Got released once my semester started to get busy and I've sadly been "ignoring" it. Time to spend some quality time with that game on my winter break.
The audio file in the situation room refers to a city called "Isis-Urania". That was the name of the first temple of the Hermetic Order of the Mythic Dawn. It also talks a lot about dreams, could Project: AHNAYRO be related somehow?
i'm convinced ahnayro is defenitly related, there just not enough intel for us to know how it is related. but there should be information in our archives, and there shouldve been some flags triggered during operation silverspear
I just realized in my last post I said, "The Hermetic Order of the Mythic Dawn", when I meant to say Golden Dawn. My bad! Last thing I want is to have agents looking for connections to a cult from The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.
I don't know if it makes any difference but the black watchmen just had an little update (probably bug fixes), the reason i'm meansioning this is because now the symbols on the pillar seem to "blink". Did they do that before? Does it make any differens if the did? I don't really know if they did or if it matters, i'm sort of new to the game and have never participated in a live event before
until yesterday, all runes glowed from the bottom to the top since the DLC got released, they now spell out the word CARCOSA so yeah, its doing something new, now
This was posted & pinned in Discord (thanks to Yuleforce123/Bruteforce123) Spoiler: Needle Translation
Hey guys. I just started on WhiteChapel, and was given a document with cell tower numbers on them. If anyone can tell me how to navigate them, or whether or not they are GPS coordinates, PLZ let me know.
You should probably check out the Whitechapel mission discussion thread. They've got everything you need. Anyway, NEW STUFF! Just got an email about it. Where's the thread for that? (Note that "Carcosa" is a name associated with the Cthulhu Mythos, particularly Hastur. Neat!)
Carcosa is more than just a reference to lovecraftian lore. This is the 3rd/4th time we encounter this "name" during live operations. Intel can be found in this topic; https://forums.aliceandsmith.com/threads/whitechapel-intel.3886/#post-26175
Actually is more related to the novellete from Chambers "The King In Yellow" but I think Lovecraft or some of his literary disciples made the connction to Hastur...
You're probably thinking of August Derleth. Here's a collection of Hastur stories featuring Robert W. Chambers, Ambrose Bierce, August Derleth and others! ANYWAY, the "new stuff" is Operation Tidalvortex, over in this thread!
