I'd like to bump this. I'm in exactly the same position as fjölverkrk. Have scanned all ports and accessed Spoiler filehost.rosenews.com but am completely stumped as to where to go from here.
I had the same problem and looking through discord it seams to be a bug on the alpha 0.8 pc version. They said to skip it using Spoiler the skeleton command in any of our terminals
Oh my god, that's unbelievably annoying, I wasted like an hour or two only to realize its bugged. (It would be incredibly embarrassing to even admit how desperate I got, and how scary as to what I started doing/contemplating).
I have also reached that and know that there is Spoiler mail.rosenews.com Spoiler When I scan filehost using the WMI scanner, the scan comes back empty. With no other way to collect information on the for the forensics I don't even know whose account to attack for the password...
I think I found a bug on the latest .87 build. I restarted all the missions just to go through it all again and don't remember having any issues entering the GPS coordinates during the tracking part of this mission. Is the second GPS number missing now? I can't seem to upload my screenshot as it's too big and the forum seems to block me from adding an imgur link? If you look yourself you'll see just a single GPS coordinate listed.
I just checked on the PC build and the issue doesn't exist. Looks like it's either tied to resolution or osx build. Both GPS coordinates appear just fine. Definitely a game stopper for someone on mac though..
I'm redoing all mission and stuck on that one, on first step, dunno why... I found the 4 subdomains but... portscan says "nertwork error" on all subs and finger on -p 80 says everything uptodate. I don't remember I got problem dfirst time I did it :/
Been a long while since I did it, so not sure about my suggestion, but are you sure 4 are all the subdomains?
Yes. And in the tutorial it says to focus on filehost sub and use portscan. But when i do that ive got thet network error... Weird
portscan has been removed from the client, and instead its function is now part of fingerprint i havent done this specific mission in a long time, so im not sure if theres any other changes but everytime portscan is mentioned, you should use fingerprint instead edit: in the tutorial vid filehost is used as an example the actual mission is scanning every possible subdomain (including those where you're almost certain that you wont find anything of interest)
I seem to have the same problem, using fingerprint, plus it seems like the game is hogging my bandwidth... Is the game using networking? Maybe something wrong with the servers?
yes, the game uses your internet to connect to the A&S servers all domains that you can scan, are hosted on the network of the devs, and not your own PC, which is why youd need internet to play this game. and no, i dont think theres something wrong with the servers themselves, i just redid the mission with no issues maybe something else could be blocking/obstructing your connection?
Well I'm stucked at this mission and I guess there's a bug somewhere... I just osintscan / sfuzz rosenews.com and got 4 subs Then I portscan as said in tutorial and I've "network error" on the 4 subs And when I use fingerprint -p 80 everything is uptodate. What am I doing wrong ?
1) dont use portscan, 2) dont use "-p 80" after using fingerprint Since 0.8.1 (i think, it could be earlier/later) portscan is removed. Instead fingerprint now scans for open ports, as well as the tech behind it. When you use -p 80, itll only scan at port 80, missing any potential open ports that might be there as well
