Is there any connection between who received what codes? We're seeing a lot of Charlies but that could just be a coincidence. The first code will probably go out in the next 24 hours and then possibly the rest will go out as emails over a short period of time. 96 hours could be the limit of time we have to unlock everything from this first set of encoded messages.
I think they're going to make phone calls to orange+ agents, that would be logical considering "total system failure" that was mentioned in the e-mail. Signals could as well be sent in the Morse code format for all we know.
Agents of the same signal level are receiving the same link Alpha: https://cryptobin.org/c4y9d5q5 Beta: https://cryptobin.org/e3o6g6v5 Charlie: https://cryptobin.org/75y1w7f5 Delta: https://cryptobin.org/w1u947y5 Echo: https://cryptobin.org/44v4i8t5 Edit: Anyone else finding it weird that the names are a cross between Greek letters and NATO? (http://www.alphabravocharlie.info/alphabet.php) Alpha (Both) Beta (Greek) Charlie (NATO) Delta (Both) Echo (NATO)
Alpha here, with the same link. I'm on holiday with limited Internet access and won't be able to participate much.
I checked my emails, received both Alpha and Delta. I think due to my history of the pre-kickstarter campaign, kickstarter, an agent namechange, etc (its all so confusing). I received notices to both agent names/addresses. The subscription preferences page shows one of the names has a game code, the other doesn't. It may be I have a double identity in the system, I hope I'm not causing a system fault, or that I have to do double the work Situation room is new, too
I agree with making plans incase of system failure. Our own IRC channel on Freenode would suffice I guess? I also got the Alpha e-mail.
I too have been sent a Charlie warning. This is certainly interesting. EDIT: I just want to let people know of our idea for the Season 2 trailer and possible Live Event recap videos (posted in Fan Missions) If this turns out to be a live event, it would be great if people could record some short videos or take photos so we can use them for these!
Might have found something. I thought the Cryptobin looked like Base64 so I tried it and got Spoiler {"iv":"ZZ2HsqCMI4gFH9y8YNchjg==","v":1,"iter":1000,"ks":256,"ts":64,"mode":"ccm","adata":"","cipher":"aes","salt":"3Pwv3EuW+w8=","ct":"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"} So it looks like they've encrypted an AES encryption with Base64... This part is fairly interesting (it makes English words anyway) "v":1,"iter":1000,"ks":256,"ts":64,"mode":"ccm","adata":"","cipher":"aes","salt"
It looks like it's simply a wrapper that CryptoBin uses. They decrypt the message into ASCII from Base 64 then parse the remaining string. The message is then essentially stored in a HashMap (or dictionary) of Key : Value pairs. Spoiler Key: iv (Initialization Vector) Value: ZZ2HsqCMI4gFH9y8YNchjg== Key: v (version?) Value: 1 Key: iter (Iterations) Value: 1000 Key: ks (Session Key used by AES) Value: 256 (Max value of One Byte) Key: ts (Transport Stream? Possibly?) Value: 64 (2^6 or the maximum value of six bits, led me here) Key: mode Value: ccm (Refers to the encryption mode) Key: mode Value: ccm (Refers to the encryption mode) Key: adata (AppData?) Value: 'Null' Key: cipher Value: aes (Advanced Encryption Standard) Key: salt (A value that is binary or'd with the password to make it more obtuse) Value: 3Pwv3EuW+w8= Key: ct (Content) Value: 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 It's just metadata that CryptoBin uses when decrypting the file, and not likely to help us decrypt the message. EDIT: On an unrelated note, the situation room has an M made out of butterflies on it. Morpho Medical could be hacking us.
