The Longest Journey: Dreamfall Chapters is available! I've played just 30 minutes! I think I'm already in love!
Likewise - oh sweet "Onemoreturn-itis". Although I am enjoying myself in Borderlands Pre-Sequel as well.
I'll be playing both, but i've already got Civ pe-loaded. cant wait for the day both Smash 4 for wiiu and Pokemon ORAS come out. its been a rather fun season for games this year.
How has everyone here been doing? It's been so silent... If you still have it, sure. I have to wait for my laptop to be repaired though before I can play any games at all. #sucks
I'm currently in the middle of rebuilding my gaming box, after the GPU cooked itself a little while back... or, well, after the low-airflow build I put it in cooked the GPU (but it was such a cute little tiny mITX case!). In a clear case of overcompensating, I decided that, to avoid any repetition, the replacement had to be water cooled. I've now spent most of three weeks working on the build, and didn't even get the first order of parts until last night. Of course, there's a part of me that's starting to wonder if maybe I'm actually more interested in building gaming boxes than actually playing games on them. -Bats (now if I can just find someone to give me a CNC rig, I can start cutting gratuitous TBW logos into all the panels!)
Small thing that I would like to ask your help with. In the 2003 movie Lara Croft: The Cradle of Life the follwing quote is used: I have been trying to find the origin of the word Ramante and the language in which it means anti-life but I have not had many luck. The concept interests me because of it's similarties to anima and anti-anima (filth). I have found a quote involving the word that was about woman and the term is used in a Mass Effect 3 review (but not in other Mass Effect 3 sources that I could find). Anyone got any leads on this? Go right ahead! GPU's do that. Hope you can get it to work though. Sounds you know a looooooot more about it than I do.
I think we already talked about the Sanskrit "to enjoy" or "fulfilling desires" from http://www.vaniquotes.org/wiki/Ramante_means... on #division66... In Italian it's the present participle of "ramare", which is applying copper plating or copper sulfate fertilizer, which, unless you swore to commit suicide if your neighbor's crops failed, also doesn't sound much like "anti-life". I found it in a French discussion of system requirements as a misspelling of "ramant" (which apparently translates to "rowing" but seems like it's being used idiomatically to imply "slow" or "struggling". I'd ask Anashel or Shezbeth or someone who actually remembers their high school French to clarify this, if it actually mattered in the slightest... Although, seeing as it relates to running Crysis on a GeForce 8400M, anti-life might actually be applicable here. Bad translations aside, I'm looking at the wording in the ME3 review: The Reapers are believed to be the Ramante - or the anti-life - a form of the plague which came as the companion to life. and the wording in a quote from the movie: The pharaoh opened the box but all that was left inside was the Ramante or anti-life: The plauge which came as the companion to life. and I rather suspect that someone got their sources muddled when writing the review... or was convinced that Tomb Raider had been referring to some sort of real mythology which they could really impress their readers by casually dropping references to in a video game review. Getting it to work is easy. After all, I got the last one to work, too.... up until it decided to quit working in video to embark on a fulfilling new career in BBQ. Keeping them cool is easy enough, too... if you're willing to either give up performance or make a lot of noise. But fast, cool and quiet is where it starts getting fun[*] - especially when you're trying to cram it all in a tiny little case and make it look pretty. Well, unless that tiny little case is called a laptop - then you're expected to buy the thing pre-assembled and just use it. No fun at all. And do you have any idea how hard it is to find a cigarette lighter option for a laptop? -Bats [*] WARNING: This definition of 'fun' is suspected to contain both sarcasm and sincerity. *crashes through door* WHY ARE CLASSES SO DAMN LONG? *wilts and sits at the bar* How's everyone in the tavern?
*waves at Grim-Angel and offers a drink* Is it weekend yet? Because otherwise I shouldn't be here, especially this early in the morning. *looks around* How is everyone doing?
*pops up her head beside Luella at the bar prairie-dog style* Still here! Just dealing with RL stuff at the moment.
