Funny! I'm still going down the

astronomical route because the numbers fit logarithms that are used in navigation and astronomy. Then the additional info in letter , I think, was 'MidDipper' and THEN he said 'look after my little one'. So, I thought Little Dipper. We are looking for co-ordinates so North/Polaris fitted the answer perfectly. In my mind. But have gone through every different name, all the mythologies, all the stars in it and nowt!!

Whats your thought behind Big Bird? Was it for a laugh or am I missing something?

"MidDipper" is just the person's alias. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the puzzle. Like, "Chaoseed" is a name I use on a lot of websites; it's not used in any of the puzzles I make.

I don't know what sort of numbers are used in astronomy; as a matter of fact I haven't figured out what THOSE numbers are for!

However...

Have you read the rest of the thread? Especially the bits about "additional hidden information"? (Really, just go to the first page of the thread and search for that phrase!) Once you've figured THAT out, it should be clearer where I was going...(?)

 

Yeah, I knew it was an alias but still thought it was the additional info especially with the 'little one' quote and numbers too. Ok, back to the drawing board to see if I can come up with anything along the lines with your investigation.

Amazing how you can connect together a whole trail of information that makes sense but is completely wrong!!

Can someone please check the cryptobin gps cypher? I keep getting a "CORRUPT: ccm: tag doesn't match" message, not sure what that means but it doesn't seem to want to decode.

Figured it out! Make sure that you're entering the password in ALL CAPS. Cryptobin is case sensitive that message means you've entered the incorrect password.

Would need some help on "Third time is the charm" I have found all the words on the picture that was given. The encrypted link hasn't given me anything at all. Could i get a nudge in the right direction? I can't make any sense of this
