I think we decided that forum upgrades are separate and don't give access to the game, just forum things. De Vermis is gold access forever and the others are for 1 year.
So those are forum memberships not ARG memberships? I presumed they were ARG access also as one mentions early access. Totally confused now then
The "Early Access" is meant in regards to the forum sections they give access to. Anyone who obtains Gold Member status via the Kickstarter, won't have the effects of it before the Kickstarter is succesful (or when the game launches - can't quite recall). Those who buy it via the Forum Account Upgrade, gets it immediately and regardless of the success of the Kickstarter.
Tough call then (although not so much now as Kickstarter is looking good) I presume then that as I have been a cheapskate and put all my money in via Kickstarter at present there are forums I cannot see?
Are gold member forums active as of now? I've been considering going gold through the forums, but if it's a dead zone then I'll end up waiting.
For the most part, things get shown to Gold members, are then tweaked, and released to the general forums. The 'Behind the Curtain' stuff stays on Gold forums though. It's not a dead zone, but we don't do much chatting over there except when they want feedback.
The confusion is understandable... the forum upgrades are long overdue for some proper clarification. I don't believe there's ever been an explanation of "Active Agent" and "Senior Agent" status (except that it doesn't confer any sort of ARG access/membership). It's also worth noting that the Level Red/Orange/Yellow designations have nothing at all to do with the Level Red/Orange/Yellow agent clearance levels from the game. -Bats
Yes, I believe the multipass is one thing that's been a constant ever since it was introduced in the Crowdtilt/mmorpg.com campaign. -Bats
Agreed! I have been eyeing the upgrades since they came out, but still have no idea what the agent statuses mean in regards to the forum. I had also hoped they'd be added as add on's to the Kickstarter to put more money there....
