Any ideas on how we can grow and maintain activity instead of waiting for content release? If I made some cryptic flyer that pointed here and stapled it to a telephone pole, that might work, but I'd be worried about the legal ramifications.
That is a great idea. Go ahead with the flyers, but be careful where you post them. We do NOT encourage any time of vandalism or defacement of private property.
I like where this is going. How about cryptic business cards that we can just conveniently leave in places for people to pick up. As long as you aren’t actually littering, there shouldn’t be any issue. I think it would be even cooler if the card initiated some kind of recruitment mission. Here is an example of what I am thinking of. I am not suggesting this mission in particular, but something similar that will either send them away screaming or else hook them : )
I live in the same city as the Lovecraft Bar, so I guess I can make up little quarter flyers and put a pile next to the other piles of flyers. Business cards would cost too much, I assume. My idea for the puzzle would be Lovecraft based probably centering around Nyarlathotep or one of his mantles, which would then lead to Discordianism because it's a super fun topic, then I'm not sure. I need to grind some AEGIS in TSW before I start. Edit: Found a little language called aklo. Some linguist is trying to piece it together based on the novels in the Mythos. We see: cf'harne was something I might want to put on the flyer. Or "Kho" - logical thinking, reason. If anyone comes up with a good puzzle, I can have entire sentences translated by the guy working on it. It even comes in a certain script.
I'm not very good at this stuff, but this is my bare bones flyer. At some point I'll put a barcode that leads to my soundcloud with an audio clue that leads to the site. Maybe I can put xxxxxxxx-xx.xxx (division-66.com). Edit: I don't like the font :'(
There's always this idea. Edit: Maybe not the wrapping it around the post because that's "vandalism", I think. I would maybe put it in the paper. Edit #2: It's cheaper to get 100x metal business cards.
I'm thinking of putting out some flyers around my town as well, but I've been thinking of basing it around a community mission or something of the sort. The result would end up pointing people here, or at least prompting a google search for The Black Watchmen. I also like the idea of establishing a local group of people playing, sort of like a "field office."
