I don't know how to "Connect to the smart house system".

Literally the most frustrating thing. I just figured the smart house out, it is very short, so look at the example you have in the hydra system and follow it. very frustrating though

 

I found the correct file, it blinks red saying CryptNet Sync, but nothing happens. I log into cryptnet using the only method I know of thus far but there are no other options for uploading or performing a transaction. What am I missing here?

 

Go to blocked IDs there you can upload the file for Dr Ripper (Click on any of those lists)

Dr Ripper is requesting a specific file about some huge asian country
Search that in your filebrowser and when you find it, click on it and go to Block IDS to upload it.

I just brute-forced it by trying every possible combination. In this particular instance, it didn't take very long. I think in other circumstances, you probably need special information because the list of URLs is much longer.

 

I tried everything.....I guess I'm missing something but I cant connect to the smarthouse.

 

What have you tired so far? Are you using the right tool? If so, the address you'll connect to isn't as long as you think it will be.

 

The way I usually use the MITM is if you are connected to a prticular device that shows the IP on thee VPN then look at that for the the item on the left.

For the IP address on the right then you need the router that it communicates with, this is usually the first or last address in the range from what I know with my networking background.

 

The tool you need to use is named after a many headed mythical creature.

As to the address then try and shorten it to what may bne the shortest thing you would expect and try connecting to that.

You use the MITM attack to find a URL that is quite long. In that URL ignore the URL and think what is the bare minimum you may need to connect to. The rest of the URL may give you some more information you need once you connect
