It's been overused like crazy, but I admit I am currently in love with and I am also very much liking
My current Pandora station is based on combining The Frames, Tastexperience, and Chvrches. Though I gave a listen to Chiasm just now, it feels like great atmosphere for ARGing late at night. Oh, and of course I listen to this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPhYFUuYtBw
Actually went to a Nephew concert a few days ago. While watching them from a distance under the night sky - bit past midnight, heavy clouds hanging overhead, making the sky all the darker, caught up in an ominous atmosphere left over by a dream about the worlds end I had the night before, a mix of enthusiasm for their music as well as The Black Watchmen came over me, and my mind began to wander. That is, just until they reminded me of a fun-fact, a fact worth remembering for those eager to - or those who were eager - to go on the James Bond Experience: But then again, the person who goes on said JB Experience, might just turn out to be a "Wannabe Darth Vader" (cursed media limit) Alright, enough of the fan-ism. In all seriousness, that's the kind of sound I'm "drawn" to, and preferably - as mentioned - with lyrics that catch my attention as much as the music itself does. Doesn't have to be "deep", just inspiring - another reason I often find myself gravitating towards Melodic Metal. Although I can only think of a real-life chase scene where Galneryus would fit in, or a stand off to Hammerfall. On a final note, though, I can't help but feel this is a grand musical interpretation of what happens to at least my sanity, when working on a mission:
Sunshine is great, Midnight City was actually new to me. Many feels. Absolutely! I'm glad to see all the approval for Chiasm here. This is truly the best thing ever...
For the glory of the muppet-ish musical pieces I must post this: With that said, wow I'm really gonna try this collection of music in te future. I'll add something When hard thinking is needed I tend to go instrumental, something like: Epic Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApvLgliq_lY OST https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgxNZGUiuEQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76iayUZg73w https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJ0sYWZroO-Ksj0mU7hb_fU1ji1E7QW1t Soft Piano stuff... https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD5851ED2C62CC068 The rest of the time is a big mix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwndG8kmzYI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSkb0kDacjs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaVA6sgOpws https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnezy9iRUR8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWza_On7ajs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U9f1Rrhz9w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdjzU0c9YGg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMBXcX9mmRc Ah, I almost forgot, use this when in need of inspiration xD: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR58Yo3somJCKgn6kgUDT_iIcXRbzu8MH
I've had the pleasure and fortune to see Tool cover this song live, 1994 if I remember correctly in a 300 person venue.
The new Hammerfall single is out soon, for any Templar biased watchmen that may have slipped into the ranks. >.>
Been finding myself listening more and more to Hadouken! lately. It's one of those spurts that, for some utterly non-sensical reason, triggers my imagination, and I end up listening to a song again and again, perfecting whatever imagery I'm timing to it in my head.
I made an account on here just to reply to this, but while being bored and searching my username I came across your post. Thats my multireddit! I use it just about everyday to find new music. I'm glad you're putting it to good use! Just curious, how did you find it?
All the stuff i like to hear during my rpg tables, ambiant tracks as combat. Can lead to a lot of stuff, chiasm as said earlier, infected mushroom, entheogenic, shaka ponk, synsun, panic! at the disco and ost from series and games. Vismal got sweet music tastes, gotta say.
Right now I am mostly listening to Ariana Grande (yes really) as well as Imagine Dragons and Genitorturers - Lecher Bitch. That might be the weirdest music combo ever, but I like different types of music. I have also listened to Lucy Spraggan quite a lot this year.
