Early Access - ARG Quest Line

I updated the doc w/ riddles 8 and 9, though someone smarter than me really ought to look at it

 

Ok I finished riddle 9 (though I'm sure someone else had yet didn't update the doc), the big path is back on trying to crack The Map I'm pretty sure. As far as I see the only 12 letter codes could be a UPC, an FIS for an exact location, or three years. Furthermore, at least two of the poems have attributions that don't seem to make sense (John Hollander and Spencer County have no relation, nor does Ganga White and Mission Santa Barbara).

 

Is the map on the front page the most recent version?

 

Is it locked now? Am I going to miss the achievement?

 

Okay... Where do I start? All I can see from here is a bunch of floating numbers semi-hidden on ahnayro's site.

 

The start of the questline is at the end of table 1 (or table 2 now? I haven't checked since the update). We have a doc on the first page full of spoilers if you want to skip ahead, but I found the questline really rewarding and pretty well balanced as far as these things go.

Tbh I need to do the one on the site again, Ive forgotten both the answer and the reward. If you wanted to solve that puzzle though, look in the background. I see the picture of a man (what man?) a symbol, a certain book, perhaps they all have something in common? That's how I would approach it anyways.

I finished table 1 just after the update and can confirm nothing happened other than the unlock of Table 2. The only thing of note I got was a link after solving a fragment:

And that's immediately following finishing table 1? Mine doesn't have that node branching from table 2 unlocked yet (though something weird is going on with my save, I think I may have to start a new game).

That link is very interesting, I'll definitely start looking more into that when I get home tonight. There's a chance it's just story and not a trailhead, but there are a few things we could check on (what technique is being referenced? Is Elyse an agent outside of Oaks Valley (i.e. are there more than one orgs focusing on this tech outside TBW?)there's a picture in their archive, could we maybe place it geographically? idk just spitballing)

I'm not sure anyone has figured out how to unlock the second puzzle yet?

 

The node came up after solving the scissors fragment. I haven't done much research into the link, but the name seems to be a dead end (nothing came up with a google, but I also didn't look very hard).

I can't tell from the doc if this is a new find or not, but there's a thinfi link in the second one, and it seems to involve the Queen's Gate Puzzle.

Google does auto-translate the bottom to Greek, but something about it is off. Either Google isn't sophisticated enough to read it properly (as there are real words buried in there) or it's been scrambled somehow.

So we should focus on vetting the official documents, seeing what maybe happened to past patients? Or working on the language? I think there may still be things buried in mykinofata's tumblr too, as well as the old summer puzzles that remain unsolved. We may want to consider updating the doc, or making a Part 2 to it as well, as there seems to be a lot of new things going on with this new update (which I am so happy about omg)

 

I'm not that up to date on the ARG and am fairly new to live ARGs like this. Assuming Anashel's map is still up to date,

we should try to figure out where these fit in. I wasn't in the ARG for table 1, but it looks like it connects to either the Oak Valley Sleep Institute or something in the social media cluster. Also, we should try to clean up the doc a bit, we could have a few answers and not know it.

I haven't had time for much advanced research, but from a few searches, neither the American Journal of Advanced Psychology nor the Canadian Journal of Neurological Medicine exist. The page numbers cited could be codes, someone with more experience than me should take a look. Everything under "Education" is a real institution, and what's under "Work History" should be self-explanatory. I'll see if I can find anything else in the morning.
