Alpha 1.1.0 - Pc Edition

Very exciting to see some new activity on the forums! You guys are actually doing it =)

Alpha 1.1.0 looks pretty good. I tested it out on a Win 8, Intel Core i3 3220, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 750 Ti desktop and it ran fine. I was able to register, view the TV screen, In game browser, and Agent map. All ran without issue. I like the ambient music and art direction. I did get a crash report after I exited the game on my 3rd test. I also verified the memory leak. Anashel, let us know if there is a place where you would like us to upload the crash reports.

Few ideas (some already covered):

1. Hitting "enter" after entering your password does not work. It requires you to click the "Submit" button.
2. Game runs fine with dual monitors. I have one horizontal and one vertical. However, when I click on a separate window, it causes the game to minimize. It would be nice to have both game and separate program up.
3. Internal browser does not remember where you left off when going between tabs. For example, when going from browser to TV screen, then back to browser, you lose your tabs.
4. No caps for username
5. No confirmation email when registering (some may be waiting for it).

Crashed when I was scrolling the map.

The map should have more navigational and UI functionality - filtering by each category, especially, and hopefully having a little pop-up of what the specific is at each point.

Also more ways to navigate would be nice, a clickable zoom or a "minimap" with a box that indicates current view would do nicely.

Well, I guess the caps missing at the username input is the issue (I have tried "ixbay", didn't found too), if our username is supposed to be "TBWixbay" or even "tbwixbay", they both cannot be found!
Also I tried to register with my crappy email address and it says it's already used, so... It exists, but the username says "You shall not pass!"

...eeh, I'd just tried to log on PlayFab, I have an account on it, but, looks like I don't have any Studio linked to it ("Unable to login: This account is not attached to a Studio. Please have your studio add your account to their profile to continue."). It's maybe the issue's source

 

It was the same for my case - I'll try to look around for the actual account login for PlayFab.
For now, however, if you've played "Loadout" or "Planetary Annihilation", try altering the email you used for those accounts - even if temporarily - and then create your TBW account.

Edit: It would seem you attempted to login through the "Client" login (the one A&S would be using), and not the one meant for "Users". Try here instead.
On a side-note, I noticed I've yet to be able to log in using the secondary account I created, despite being able to log in to TBW with it, so it may take some time for it to be established.

 

Will it be possible for usernames to use caps in the future? It feels weird with an uncapitalized name!

 

But it's 2014! Lowercase names are the trend. Edgy. Simple. Clean.

 

Typing this from the in-game browser which is working well, if a bit laggy. Tried to register through the game but it said I didn't exist when I tried to log into the forum so I just made an account on here and it works fine to log into the alpha.

 

Since both of these are related issues:

It won't be able to find your username unless you've registered within the alpha client. You can't log in with your forum account (and you don't need to use the same name for both). Hit 'Register Now' under the 'Submit' button

It looks like you might be having Ixbay's problem in the opposite direction - registering through the alpha client doesn't create a forum account.

They may end up connected in the future, but right now the two are entirely isolated from each other.

Same for me. The map and browser don't work.

 

So, what exactly are we suppose to be looking for?

 

For the moment being, ways the client either is broken, or can be broken.
