With the 2 card croupier theme I'm inclined to take the two together into one value, as per blackjack.
Not received anything in the mail as of yet, but how tight are the cards in the envelope any chance of them slipping or moving around during shipping? If not, I would advise folks to take notice of the order they come out of the envelope. If we are in fact dealing with something that needs to be placed in a certain order. Those numbers were hidden for a reason
Problem is that Obyrith and Tutsie both receive 7 of spades, which can't be the the Solitaire cypher, as it's only with one deck..
Great thinking on removing the stamp, I was wondering something along these lines, but I haven't received any cards yet. With regards to the Pontifex Cipher, then as long as we know the order we can figure it out easily enough. Asuuming that is what they are going to use, theres many possibilities that can be used from two cards... although everyone is getting two cards of the same suit, which is probably relevant in someway....
And 4tre is right, it needs a single full deck only... I didn't notice anyone had received a pair... so the next great fallback of ARG's / Puzzle games are Bridge hands (or poker hands at a stretch)...
Yep! I think that perhaps casino card games where a croupier deals or something might be something to look at, and Blackjack / Poker are definitely two of those games. Edit - oops! Nikel said the same thing, but in a different way Edit two times - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_table_games Edit three times - Another thought I just had was that certain card combinations have "names", don't they, like a Jack High with a 5 is called a Jackson Five? I guess the problem with this is that again we don't know the order of the cards. =/
Consider maybe it is the sum as in blackjack, as that would make sense as we do not know the order of the cards in one's hand. I noted that there has only be a few different sums as so far. 9, 10 and 19. Plus there's a 15 now. Could be that its another Q6 entry, which would require 5 2 digit sets in total. With the other numbers giving the order it could be something like 09__19__10, with one of the spaces being a 15. Wouldn't know how the locations fit in though. I could be wrong though as more info comes in Just thinking out loud. EDIT: Just tried to brute force it by adding values. My theory does not appear to be correct .
Looks like 2 people have #3 and they both have a blackjack value of 19, so I'd say it's a safe bet we need to focus on those
There are two with number #4s that both total 10 too, and there are 2 totalling 9's but one has a hidden #1 and the other a hidden #2. All my theories are going kabooomie!
http://i.imgur.com/fCTshCR.jpg Got grey in mail. My number is 6. A pair of spades, 2. the stamp is polar bears, Canada.
Can we get an up to date posting of all the card values with stamp number for those of us with limited time? My bet is archive number but id still like to see all of them.
Well, assuming the #5 is a 15, the 9 9 19 10 15 4 together isn't a query for the q6 system, just gave that a try.
I believe the 9 9 19 10 15 4 or whatever it ends up being is the CROUPIERCODE mentioned in the CASCADE7 messages. I'm guessing we'll have to use it to decode something we'll get sometime
I just posted my card info in the Google Spreadsheet. Now to read up on things and see if I can figure out what's going on .;-)
Just added my cards to the spreadsheet. I didn't realize everything going on with the crypto, because I was still waiting on a call Now I'm excited for command line shenanigans.
Added mine. Unfortunately, as I will spend the week in the process of relocating, I am not sure what else I can offer. ETA: Apparently I am the only one so far who's gotten cards of a different suit.
Could it have anything to do with the last message from Div_66 on IRC? The one that was only gobbeldigook?
