Remember to write the solution in the archive, not in the client... Speaking out of *ahem* experience here
I got a lot of datas concerning the intel in the phone conversation but even though i found obvious connections (and submitted absolutely everything that came to my mind as answers), i cannot get the right one. Probably overthinking the stuff, again. Spoiler From all the shit i tried : Cloning, stem cells, blood cells, blood, necromancy, reanimation, neural cells, autoimmune diseases, immune system, lymphocyts and other stuff..
yeah I think you might be, to me there was only one thing mentioned that could possibly have been the answer, and it was.
...found it. I used the answer as a base for my researches. But that might be connected to a jigsaw piece so i try not to hate myself.
I think I've had enough for today, I'm getting nowhere. The only thing I can see the battles having in common is Spoiler blood and that isn't getting me anywhere...
The key to step 3 is in the Investigation panel itself. Read it carefully, only one word matters. Spoiler Chemistry is your friend
Extended Hint Spoiler That is exactly how I first saw it. The only connection noticeable from first glance was two things. One being simple war/battles with heavy casualties and most involved heavy flanking as the reason for victory or defeat, however I stepped back and read again what we are/were looking for. "What is the [state] of the..." So I knew it had less to do with the fighting itself and more to do with environment/conditions that would effect those involved in said battles. Only this would logically assist someone working/researching (step 2). So without making you waste hours reading every online entry for each battle, my extended hint is simply this: You are looking to identify the "State" of a sample. What are the basic "states" samples of this sort cant be found as? Google/Yahoo/Bing this: "State of substances" or use this link and I am sure you can figure it out from there If you are still stuck feel free to PM me, I'll be glad to help further without directly telling you the answer.
I solved mission 7 but am still bugged that the first number accepted as the answer in part 7.1 was just a guess for me. I found no specific evidence to support it, and on the contrary found one article specficially identifying another number as the correct one. . . Spoiler http://www.si.com/vault/1994/01/10/...t-union-have-changed----for-both-good-and-bad According to that, raising jersey's was apparently not something that was done until post Soviet days, and another player's jersey was the first to be raised in the new Russia. That article could be wrong (consider the source), but I never found anything specifically covering the raising of the number the mission accepts -- not it's retirement, but it's actual raising to the rafters. Anybody else find anything in this regards?
Agents. This is Silverfox from OWL division. We received word that our wiretap contact, Agent Grisha, that he has a recorded call. Unfortunately, Agent Grisha has decided to be a bit of a pain in the ass. It must have been news about being turned down for a promotion. He is making the agents decode the archive number. I’m been assigned to aid in your mission. These are nudges, not the answer. HQ understands that we work together but no one is going to just make it easy. Remember Agents, this is for your eyes only and only if you are completely stumped. Also Agents, remember to use the Call For Help. First clue Spoiler Not everyone knows things about sports so do some googling to find out what this place is and what sort of things are hung from it. Spoiler As far as which is first, I have to be honest agents. I have yet to find a locked in answer for which was first. Soon as I discover something more solid, I can help you. All I suggest is try those numbers into your answer once you have parts 2 and 3. NEW INFO: It might aid in research to remember where specifically the Ice Palace is located. Second Clue Spoiler Make sure you read the clue carefully. Proper nouns can lead the way in research. Spoiler look to what that year means to that person and be sure to look at the words in the clue Third clue Spoiler there is a theme here in the clues about what and where Spoiler A proper noun with the where and what leads the research Ok with all that, you should have the ..well..remember always to know what you are looking for. After that, Spoiler just listen to the tape. The answer is said.
Spoiler For me personally, it was a question of finding the list of retired players from HC CSKA Moscow, and noting the first jersey - in chronological order - to have been retired. I.e. that Valeri Kharlamov's ceased use after '81, whereas Vladislav Tretiaks ceased use after '84.
Thanks, this helped a lot. I had been looking into this before, but didn't bother to look up the English names for them and ended up using a faulty translation as an answer. Again, instead of looking them up I just dropped that idea and went for the one that really got me stuck.
The battles actually carry a good bit of information. Spoiler Did you notice that all of the first battles in the list, right up until June 30th, are defeats for England? That's like a dozen of them; it can't be a coincidence. I bet that losing battles represent failed tests, and things started going better with the test on June 30th. Also, I suppose we can assume that the substance used in the July 2nd test is gaseous?
Guys! Can you please help me out, I am out of options for the code. My results do not match but I can't seem to find any different options. Spoiler: all 3 1 - 17 (Russian hockey legend) 2 - 12 (Makarov) 3 - 19 (Soviet titles)
You may want to edit your post in to spoiler tags Have you tried combining those 3 figures and entering them in to http://archive.blackwatchmen.com/
I have tried most of what I think it could be from the audio file but I am still not able to get the correct answer. I have used what most people have said on here, so I missing something.
