New community mission. Enjoy! MIssion ID: 6 Mission Type: Investigation Mission Difficulty: Medium Server: Beta 3.0.4 Storyline: Standalone (not related to the upcoming beta) NOTE: I did it tonight since I was unable to sleep, I hope there is no mistake. I will try to add new content every week. WARNING: For mac user, 3.0.4 have a bug, don't hit enter to submit but hi the submit button.
Solved it, but Spoiler: question I don't see how the elements in part 3 fit in? I solved it by finding the picture only, really. And were most of the 3 letter codes false trails? Seemed that way.
Spoiler: Solution Part 3 Each element has a position in the periodic table. The left side lists Oxygen (Nr. 8), Boron (Nr. 5), and Magnesium (Nr. 12). If you use this numbers to get letters of the alphabet, you will get: H E L L. Same on the other side with H E A V E N. Thus it gives you the same result as the picture itself.
Finished 'er off, quite fun and I enjoy the solution for part three Anybody mind giving a translation of the pre and post brief?
So I got parts 2 and 3 and have entered everything I can think of for part one. I suspect it is staring me in the face, or I can't spell. I guess I'll take a break. Very well done--especially for 3 in the morning! (Maybe I should try then...) Thank you!
In the same predicament. I know the picture. But can't figure out the code yet. Stepping away for a few hours to clear my head in the fresh air and will revisit it this evening.
Spoiler: Hint for Part 1 - lite-ish If you've solved part two, keep in mind the distinction you made then about what was depicted (a categorial item; lava, a volcano), and what was referred to (a concrete piece of information). In other words, that what you were seeing wasn't refering to the most basic concept associated with what was depicted, but that the hint was rather the circumstances pertaining to that specific image. Given the depiction in this case is fantastical, one key is to figure out how a painting - or what is depicted - might refer to an actual location. Spoiler: Hint for Part 1 - strong-ish Obviously, very few places in the Divine Comedy can be found in the real world. So, thinking of Dante, what can we find out about it's connections to the real world? Remember; it's not the depicted you're looking for (e.g. not lava), but the context surrounding the image (e.g. where was the photo taken).
Santiak - it's so funny that I landed part 2, and your hint is exactly what I was going around and around about in my head. Sometimes those brilliant flashes of insight are IT and sometimes they ain't. Especially when, well there is part THREE, hahaha. So I took a break to work, and then tried the rupture. I just need to sleep and work, at some point, dammit--but I'm having SO much fun! (and I've only looked at your "lite" hint so far--I KNOW I'll get there...thank you)
Thank you for the hints, those were what I was trying but wasn't working. I think reading your hints sparked something in my mind because I got an idea right after reading them and it turned out it was something obvious I was over-looking.
I just found some time to take a look at this mission - love it! Especially the last part, for obvious reasons ;D
Alright you really can simply just over think these things and spin your wheels and pull out all your hair just trying to be too clever when the answers are staring you right in the face. Thanks Mochii & Khalm for nudging me in the right directions. (as a side note : I know way too much about the historical sites of Florence now )
Blast it all! I've joined the ranks of those who solved Part 2 pretty quickly but am completely stuck on 1 and 3! I know it's right in front of my face but it isn't sinking in.
Finished Part 2, but 1 and 3 are giving me a bit of trouble. Doesn't help that the server is down for maintenance either! Edit: 3 was easy enough once I got 2. But 1...
