Package arrived as I was reading this thread.
Let's see what's inside.

Contents of one black shipping container
- 1 set of dog tags with chain
- 1 sheet of stickers, 2 columns of 5
- 1 thin strip of paper reading "Subject: Updates"
- 1 letter of thanks, with four signatures in blue ink.

But... I'm missing the Multipass Card. (160$, 110$ pledge tier, + 5$ Steam + 5$ Shipping + 5$ Tip Aprox, 35$ missing)

With the password, here is a different song related to Oranges and Lemons
http://www.allmusic.com/song/oranges-and-lemons-again-mt0017754421/lyrics
Could end up being a dead lead, but things are slowing down.

not sure, really not sure if maybe we need a deadline on missing message shreds should some portion prove to be time sensitive, yet thinking this primer could really go somewhere big once it all comes together; just hope we are not reading into it too much instead of trying to see the meaning within the message

-besides I'm sure HQ has the duplicates list of whom which parts got sent to

As more "papers" are being recovered it's becoming more likely IMO.

I believe the line submitted by Chosen and Nighean Should be placed after contact agent Russell. I think it's part of the second message with a line missing just before

Hey all,

Santiak, Cata and I have reorganized the googledoc. Hopefully it looks a lot cleaner and more readable to you now! For instructions on how to make comments, mouse over or select the B2 box (titled READ THIS FIRST!)

So after all - no matter if the intercepted email is complete or not - we have to contact Agent Russel. So far we do not have contact details regarding him/her, haven't we? I guess he/she should know more.
*Speculation mode on*
The intercepted email content is to me rather unspectacular, as it merely lists advances in Rosenberg's (dubious) projects for a sponsor. What I rather find alarming are the "issues with one of our aids" and Rosenberg's request for "his work history" and the surveillance of his off-hours. Though not yet connected in our investigation doc I believe this pieces go together. Not a good situation for this suspicious aid. And now to the core of my speculation: what if this aid is Russel or another fellow watchman? Shouldn't we ring an alarm at Agent Russel, no matter if he is the one with nearly blown cover or the mission leader?
I have not done more than contacting [email protected] for contact details. But I have not received an answer. What to do next?

I think the fact that not everyone has received their goodies yet, along with more message pieces, means that crucial information to solve this has not yet been revealed and probably deliberately so. Perhaps a further development might coincide with the start of Pax East on March 6. We may just be in a general holding pattern until then or until everyone gets their parcels.

Visitors of Pax East should have key datas, just because it would feel amazing to bring master clues to the event as a newcomer, plus it would introduce them to veterans and connections between players is key in this kind of game (more than other games)

your_left_sock on IRC has sent an email to Phoenix (Msikas handler) to see if he was involved in Russell's mission.

CALLING ALL AGENTS!

I have discovered a password which elicits a distinct error when attempting to open the Oblivion.mp3 file. This error is distinctly unique to this password over all wrong password errors.

This leads me to believe it is, in fact, the password for Oblivion.

Unfortunately, I am using a shared version of Oblivion, and I can only unzip to an empty version of the sound file.

We require somebody with the physical USB drive to please attempt this password with their own file as it is pristine in the drive.

PASSWORD:

scrivener

How it was found:
Going by the rhyme Oranges and Lemons, I began to research its relation to the word oblivion. As others have noticed, it is of thematic importance to Orwell's infamous 1984.

It led to a passage in Banquo's Ghosts by Rich Lowry and Keith Korman in which the characters reminisce on Oranges and Lemons as used in 1984, claiming to have read about it in the defunct Oxford magazine Scrivener. The narrative describes the rhyme of Oranges and Lemons to speak to one of the characters of a great civilization slipping into oblivion.

It didn't work for Shah's copy on USB. Anyone else who has a USB key should probably give it a try.

Tried the original verison on my USB and got the same error :( So either it's broken or we missed something.

One should note that it did give Shah the same unique error as I got (0x80004005), instead of the usual wrong password nonsense!

Yeah, winrar also reacts differently for that one specific password ("corrupted file or wrong password") instead of "Wrong password, no files to extract".

That error can also be an 'access denied' kind of deal; alas, running winrar as administrator doesn't fix it.

Hi all.

Used the stick, gave the password. It looks like it IS the correct one, but then it says the following:
upload_2015-3-2_23-29-55.png

Translation: Error in ZIP-File, can't create target file.

Corrupt zip? I don't think so...btw, using 7zip here...
