Spoiler At least I didn't go as far as watching the movie to look for notable locations. But then I noticed that the cleartext is a haiku, so I started looking for an Eastern connection, and found that Chinese mythology has several things called 'heavenly dog'... :-D
I had much the same problem only with this book lol. http://www.tor.com/blogs/2014/12/book-review-tim-powers-the-anumbis-gate-nobodys-home
A bit behind every one on these missions as was away until last week, but finally got through this one this morning. Have to say I really enjoyed it. Well done! (applause). ~Rowyne wanders away in search of a beverage before returning to the mission hub and opening the indicator for Mission 20.
And working on my sleuthing skills some more... Spoiler Not being from Montreal, how were we to know the shop was Ogilvy? And puzzling out the alternate spelling being the requirement? To me, that store display looks a lot like what US toy stores do around Christmas time so that's the store fronts I was looking at. Thanks for the great mission!
*makes a note to start downloading/saving the clues for later review* I also have a lot of problems reading the windows/blurred text.
Spoiler The second part of the mission was more because I wanted to test the feature in the client. I had anticipated that part 2 would be locked until part 1 is completed, but that's not how it works, so part 1 is really the brunt of the puzzle... As far as intended path, google reverse image search will yield the picture, and combining the answer from part 1 with the name of the store provides the answer in search results. Also, your avatar is Fallen London, right? I should get back into that
Spoiler Google has a reverse image search?!?! /facepalm how do I not know this. Actually, I think I've even seen it mentioned on the forums. Yes, yes it is They're doing all sorts of crazy things with narrative story and it makes a lovely time filler when working on ARGs
