Heyho folks, I figured I'd set up a thread for each of the current missions. While the use of spoiler tags is encouraged for the first page of the thread, it is not enforced, as the policy is still being worked out, so there may be spoilers! After the missions are completed - i.e. no longer available in the client - I'll either merge the relevant threads into one and store them together in the Archived Missions section, or they will be stored individually; it depends on what is most efficient, and to some extent, on the size of the threads. Keep in mind: This is only a proposal as to how we can structure mission relevant communication, so any feedback is more than welcome - i.e. would it be better to have the whole "batch" of missions centered around a single thread. Mission 15: "Misplaced Data" Senior Agent Rackham has seen your previous performances, and requests your assistance tracking down some stolen information.
Can't find what to do with the bank statement, how to locate/read it, the clue is way too large for me The image doesn't show much except : Spoiler We can see the word "Google" in the image, and the url says "find me", Image search doesn't show any relevent datas though
Zekh Spoiler bank statement shows he was using paypal for some stuff, which appears irrelevant, but then shows that he appears to have travelled abroad, with a clue to the country. Once you see that just move on to the next clue
I think Zekh's puzzle is how to find the bank statement Spoiler I also need to get used to youtube & pastebin & other places. the URL is http://pastebin.com/CeqQ47mF using the document clue. What you see there is what Khalm describes Not being a cryptoguy, this is the only one I solved so far. But I think this mission brings up another point: Major clues for me in both investigations were the answer formats: Spoiler 6 letter city, 11 letter country narrows it down a lot. 4x 5x 6x format for the marina found the answer once I got the locale. I know it is critical in geo-coordinates to have the right format, but it isn't necessary for everything. Does the software provide for open format in the response box?
I'm stuck on this one. I've found the correct location on maps, and googling about I think that I have the marina name; Spoiler Fair Haven Marina However that answer isn't accepted. It does the the 4x 5x 6x though... Bah.
Gyah. Frustrating. 2 possible correct answers and I missed the right one. Now I've chased part 2 down as far as babo cafe Spoiler Bovenbeekstraat 28 / Arnhem / Netherlands same problem.
Hi guys - just back from fluke fishing. Just tried this mission and it was fun and a good warm up. Only one remark: Spoiler: Remark Without having made already a couple of missions here, I would not have known about pastebin. Without pastebin no bankaccount and no (simple) clue to the country. Is the format CeqQ47mF typical for pastebin only?
What I have learned over the various ARG's is to try everything. I had not heard of pastebin the first time I came across a link, but the community here are very good for help and advice when required. I'm not sure if that format is typical only for pastebin but certainly it takes very little time to check pastebin to find out
I found where the marina is on Google Map. Using Google Street, you can get some views on the marina. I thought that the numbers on the text message were ships IDs (the format of the ship numbers are almost the same). But I'm not on the good way I think . Stuck :-(. EDIT : Ok... I was searching too far, easier than I thought ^^.
I've managed to make it to stage 2 on my own but I have no idea how to check bank statements, or post the spoiler tabs for that matter. Kind of stuck on this second part though I'm pretty sure I know the country.
Spoiler is available via the format options when posting, look for insert and it's on there, just post your data in between. Spoiler: Might help, or not... What information is available on the bank statements at face value?
If you're having trouble opening the statement: Spoiler Have you checked Pastebin? (This is, so far, quite true for any sequence of random characters. Pastebin/Imgur/Tinyurl..)
