Kickstarter Trailer (possible Secrets?)

Highly unlikely that it is a concidence, given that

The image on the lap-top screen in the Double Deluxe room now displays that very image.

Addendum: It also states "tinyurl.com" in the lower right-hand corner.

 

Seems I found the image preemptively. The way it should have been found is:

This image, which has a new etching in the laptop and a darker atmosphere than before. In the bottom right hand corner is 'tinyurl.com' which should have prompted the use of the code on tinyurl.

 

Doubt this leads anywhere, but just because the other pictures have been important. The painting in the Single Deluxe room is a mirror image of Les chênes d'Apremont by Théodore Rousseau. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Théodore_Rousseau

I tried 1848 (when he returned to Barbizon) and 8481 (since the paintings backwards) for all the Rosenburg employee passwords, no luck. I attempted to try 1850-1852 (years that painting was thought to be painted) forward and backward for all of them, but I'm sleepy so I may only think I got them all.

 

Alright starting to work on this, side question however....two men found dead in a trunk...we anywhere with that?

speculation:
we're dealing with something released from Annaliese which set up shop in the Barbizon in Montreal and likes pictures that reminds it of home
it has connections in the government, perhaps is even part of the government (hellspawn Members of Parliament are not unheard of and bureaucrats are just a subspecies of imp) and is using government resources to identify us

May or may not have been one of the dead in the trunk...may or may not have put a body with fake dentals that wasn't me to lure them off our trail.

There is a Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot also of the Barbizon School, who happened to paint Dante and Virgil. No idea if it will end up meaning anything. I tried 1859 and Shaw for all the passwords. There also happens to be a Rue Corot near the hotel's address.

 

Frustrated with the paper. Moving on. Speculation suggests a location. Where I will start up.

 

I snagged all the numbers out of the KS video and posted them in the google.doc

Edit: Also, I think we haven't found the correct place to use this information yet. I don't believe it's for the Rosenberg site (doesn't hurt to check) but I'll be surprised if our clues lead us there.

I also tried the date of the battle of Montaperti in which the painting references forwards and back with no luck. i think Ruke is right that we may not have found the location of where we need to enter this information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Montaperti

Edit: it also stands to believe that all of these rooms will reveal a piece of the puzzle and it hasn't all come together yet.

 

Hm, stray thought. It's possible that the pastebin wasn't meant to accuse just one possible traitor, but to accuse all of us.

If our memories are blurred, it follows that the likelihood of the entire agency's memory is also blurred.
Likewise, as a result, returning "members" might possibly have proven themselves untrustworthy, as a result of them only seeking out the Black Watchmen on a blurred memory, which ultimately proved itself to be a memory of the agency as an enemy.

This has lead to the Black Watchmen "filtering" any and all new agents who attempt to return to the fold.

Because it's late (well, it's morning, actually, but I haven't slept), let me continue my train of thought a bit more, to add some substance to this, yet another brainfart of mine.

1. A hotel is a place commonly used as a stop along the way. However, our "hotel" is closed - we can neither leave nor enter. It is, effectively, symbolic of "Limbo" - an interrogation room - and the 1st circle of hell. Those without sin, but also without ("correct") faith.
   
   
2. Our first welcome consisted of Dante Speaking to the Traitors in Ice: Dante is questioning those trapped there for their sins, sins here being that of treachery. A recurring theme here is that the sinners are unwilling to recall their sins, and are quick to call out the sins of those aroud them.
   
   
3. The second "welcome" we received, was of Dante and Virgil being ferried over Styx, which leads into the 5th Circle, Dis - the realm for those who committed the sin of violence or fraud.

In essence, "Are You the Traitor" is not singular, but plural, and as such, our mission may not be to neither find the traitor, nor unravel what mysteries this hotel, this "Limbo" holds, but as a test, in order to cement what little remains of our memories.

Perhaps the mission is not only to unravel what mysteries may recide within, but to prove to The Black Watchmen that all of us here, are "living agents", who can once more return to the land of the living - the aware. The Black Watchmen.

This would also connect well with the recently noticed painting by Théodore Rousseau, who spent the majority of his career seeking the acceptance of his trades organisation, the Salon.

So, why am I writing this here, as it obviously holds no new leads or theories on what to do next?
Well, proving that we, unlike those in the 9th and 5th circles, will not turn against each other based on assumption, might just be what The Black Watchmen wants us to "find", before they give us the next question.

Of course, me proposing this theory only serves to cast the searchlight on myself - oh that wonderful Theory of Mind and its everlasting recursions - but for now, if only one is deemed sinner in favour of the others remaining together, then that is, perhaps, the sacrifice that needs to be made.

(I apologize for the somewhat theatrical choice of vocabulary and syntax, an unfortunate side-effect of me not having slept. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an Opera to perform in the bathroom.)
