Briefing was from Daed.. was a basic run down of the mission meeting with Morpho and then a very short briefing on the meeting with what he assumed was Baup's friend.
Update via email. Spoiler Agents, We have successfully concluded Operation SILENTTHUNDER. The Morpho Medical attacks have been stopped. We are now rebuilding the Mission Hub in preparation for what is to come. However, we must consider the events that have lead to this moment. We need to learn from our mistakes and harden our defenses against future attacks. up’s coded message requesting extraction On 07/15/15, a key asset known as Vanessa Baup [Subject LI9S2W] contacted our agency, asking to be extracted and placed under protective custody before she fell into enemy hands. During Operation FALCONREACH, our global network mobilized and secured 34 cities through which Baup could travel. Over the course of 7 days, she made her way, with our escorts, from Southern Russia to our facility in Vancouver. Unbeknownst to our agents, they were being followed and Morpho launched a massive cyber attack against our systems. The damage was great and it severed all our communication channels, causing contact with Vancouver to go dark. Using a backup legacy system known as the Q6 command terminal, Dispatch slowly regained connection with our bases. Once Vancouver came back online, we learned of Morpho’s attack on the base and their capture of Baup. In the aftermath of the raid, we were able to gather intel relating to Morpho communication channels. Agent Nuage was sent to Paris on 08/09/15 to retrieve a dead drop. The package contained a coded message which led to evidence of a key transfer in Toronto. A Morpho whistleblower calling himself The Weatherman contacted our agents and revealed the details of the transfer. Shale Securities was asked to give Morpho an improved version of the virus they used against our systems, codenamed RAINCLOUD. On 08/15/15 Daedalus, our Green Level agent, was sent in to impersonate the Shale contractor, with the support of Agent Fleming on the ground and the global agent network online. Gathering pieces of code hidden around Toronto, Daedalus was able to assemble Thunderstorm, a version of the virus that would clear all infection of the RAINCLOUD virus from our systems. Upon delivering the virus to Morpho, he received the MONKEYPAW, an artifact with strange powers not yet fully understood. Baup came out of hiding during the mission and demanded the artifact. It is still unclear how she escaped Morpho custody, where she acquired information about the meeting and why she desires the MONKEYPAW. Agent Daedalus made a deal with Baup and handed over the artifact to her. Now, with the MONKEYPAW in Baup’s possession and Thundercloud removing all instances of RAINCLOUD infection, we are ready to gather our forces and begin the counterattack. Morpho Medical brought us to our knees. We must hit back hard. Congratulations on the successful completion of the Operation. Go to the situation room in the next 24 hours and enter code MONKEYPAW to complete the mission.
I got that email too and entered the code. I feel like that was cheating though, since I didn't actually take part in this event. Oh well. Is it still possible to get the other two 'On Duty' achievements? Even though I was a Kickstarter backer, I didn't get access to the game until a few days ago and I feel I should have had that opportunity.
I took part in live mission 2, and went on a trip and missed the window to enter the code, and I do not have the On Duty for it. So Doubtful.
