Another piece Spoiler <Div66_Dispatch> We expect a report from Matthison in the coming days with inside intelligence on the cults internal activities
New info from Disptach to Santiak Spoiler AgentOwl66: Dispatch came in with an update. Agent Matthison has reported successful entry into the cult ritual He was accepted as a privileged member of the cult after saying the passcode "Candle Flame" We expect a report from Matthison in the coming days with inside intelligence on the cults internal activities We will share this intelligence upon reception Well done agents and Agent Owl, the Collective of the Rebirth has been infiltrated Mission 205017 is officially complete.
Sorry, should have clarified - that was what Dispatch reported in IRC, not anything directed specifically at me - was merely reiterating it after AgentOwl66 joined the channel again.
Can someone confirm timeline of events for me please? Was contact made at the Masquerade? Was the meetup at the second booth where agents received their code names, dog tags, and emails? Did anyone get an email to work? ~MF
For now like this. I'll go ahead and link/source as best as I can tomorrow. I think this is all the events, please correct me where I'm wrong. Friday: Agents opened case 1 to find the report in post one. Some agents opened case 2, contained dogtags, Agent ID, email and password. These appear to be already set-up accounts for new recruits to use, rather than critical elements for this mission. Report decrypted to the rebirth666 github page. Rebirth666 page implies recruiting will be done at the Masquerade Saturday Rebirth666 page changes to indicate recruiter will be around the show floor, in birthday party attire, negating the masquerade lead. AgentOwl66 meets the recruiter, is provided invitation explaining that they are invited to a party on Sunday where they will be reborn as "Alfred Lord Tenenbaum" (Picture unavailable. For picture of another invitation, see HERE) Two other invitations are found with the names "Guy Faux" and "Red Thunder" All 3 contain the same code in the bottom right corner: mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb Agent Santiak finds the code hidden in the birthday cake image, "Begin your journey and speak the code Candle Fire" Dispatch tasks us with finding the location and passphrase to enter the party on Sunday Agent JKKennedy discovers the Collective of the Rebirth13 github page. Sunday Searches for the location come up short until late afternoon Eastern time. Location was found to be the Tour de Levis tower, apparently provided by somebody at or near to the Alice and Smith table. Dispatch sets up a meeting between AgentOwl66 and Agent Matthison to transfer invite and codeword at a noodle restaurant, outside the convention center. Accepted codeword: Candle Fire. AgentOwl66 sends image to Elenath to confirm meeting occured. Dispatch informed. Dispatch informs IRC that Matthison has successfully infiltrated the Collective of the Rebirth, completing the mission for now. Dispatch will inform us of new developments in the future. mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb code remains unsolved.
The only kind of pattern I can find from the "mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb" code is if you convert it into decimal (decimal and hex seem like the most obvious as they produce different values for uppercase and lowercase letters): 109 102 104 102 99 119 107 109 109 49 117 67 73 117 79 98 I havn't done any work on the numbers themselves yet but straight away I see 4 sets of numbers, 2 sets have 4x 3digit numbers followed by a 2 digit number, and 2 have a single 3 digit number followed by 2x 2digit numbers. Edit: First Idea) Each individual number in the red and yellow sets is smaller than each individual number in the blue and purple. So, if you deduct the reds from the blues, and also the yellows from the purples (119-109=10, 107-102=5 etc etc), you end up with 8 numbers forming a 12 digit sequence: 10 5 5 7 50 0 12 25. When you split this into 2 6 digit numbers: 105575 001225 and search google, you get this: https://www-nds.iaea.org/point/k600/ZA028062
I've been looking at this one daily... my feeling is, giving the mixed case and number at the end, that it is a url. Looking at some candidates: gitio4wi9a pastebins6ofGfTN cryptobinorg05s6e765 bitly1HzDhBD imgurcom5vPwHPo youtubemi2rAlpcni4 pastebincomWpyugrgg googlsk1dcU tinyurlcomlxzdfpg owlyPdxNF Due to the repeating f in mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb, actually only git.io is possible from this list in a monoalphabetical cipher, but that url is rather short. So let's have a look at what vigenere/otp keys are needed to make these: gitio: gxoxo pastebin: xfpmyvcz cryptobin: kojqjijez bitly: lxoue imgurcom: etblluwae youtube: ornmivg googl: grtzr tinyurl: txuhifz owly: yjwh http: fmoq www: gjl goto: gror otp'ing with ....box results in ....bin, but I haven't found anything after that, eg: gearbox: gbhobingi1uLHgRv giftbox: gxcmbinge1pJHgRv dropbox: jotqbinjv1gNHgRy mailbox: afzubinam1mRHgRp jukebox: dlxbbinds1kYHgRs soapbox: urhqbinuy1uNHgRj Given that everything so far has been a simple caesar shift I wonder if we are overlooking something simple.
Well, we can finally lay this to rest after about 7 months... After stumbling across mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb the other day I decided to finally solve it. It has to be a url (lowercase letters followed by a jumble of both-case letters and numbers... That's pretty much a URL!) and my first thought was that it'd be another bit.ly link seeing as another one had been used in the live event. After that it was just a case of playing around with vigenere and One-Time Pads similar to the post above me. I noticed that to get mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb to bitly..... the key would've had to be lxoue... but then that'd leave bit.ly/ another 11 characters and bit.ly links usually have only 7 characters after the slash So I tried to change the 5th to 9th letters of the code to be bitly, so that there'd be 7 characters afterwards and I got aaaaborboaaaaaaaa mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb mfhfbitly1uCIuOb The part of the key which changes cwkmm to bitly is "borbo". I tried changing the entire key to this repeating pattern and got rborborborborbo mfhfcwkmm1uCIuOb vetobitly1dBUdNn So the solution is that it's a Vigenere cipher with keyword "rbo" which gives "veto bit.ly/1dBUdNn" Unfortunately the link has now expired but, hey, at least we can now sleep at night!
