So far we haven't found any connection between that and anything else. At the moment it appears that 1975 is simply the year Barbizon Hotels was established.
Seems likely. It was one of the first things that changed from opening 2012 to the Roman numerals that we see now.
Then isn't it more odd? This "hotel" we contacted is supposedly their first location, or at least a brand new hotel of sorts, assuming they aren't connected to any real-life hotels named Barbizon. Why would they have an "establishment date" of 1975? There's a very good chance that "1975" refers not to the hotel, but to something in either (1) the circle that we acquired Msika from, or (2) something connected to the people that took her. Or something else, who knows? Point is, we'll be seeing this number somewhere. And in case you're wondering, no, it's not the year Dead Souls was released.
1975 seems to be a recurring theme in our missions. What stands out to me is the exorcism of Annaliese Michel. In my mind, this seems to be a watershed event of some magnitude.
It's entirely possible that Barbizon Hotel's shady activity is how Sophie Hollins (our Cybermage) and Vanessa Baup were separated.
Theory. 1975 when the construction has been started, then something happened and they had to stop, project frozen but not cancelled. Then it was completed decades later and now the hotel is constructed and ready. And something tells me it wasn't an hotel in the first place, my inner voice (and Msika's adventure/connection with them) whispers me that it is more like a prison. When you cannot tell the difference between a cell and a bedroom anymore. Psychic walls telling you that you're in something dreamy while you struggle in a labyrinth of lies. Sorry, sometimes my mind goes wild.
A bit off topic, but I just asked a question and it turned into brainstorming and theories. Pretty cool. Anyway, I looked up "human trafficking in Montreal 1975" on Google, "An Exploration of Promising Practices in Response to Human Trafficking in Canada" http://www.gov.mb.ca/msw/publications/human_trafficking.pdf "The OSCE, founded in 1975, is the world’s largest regional security organization, currently with 56 member states. Canada has been a member of the OSCE since its inception." I'm trying to remember, but was something mentioned about human trafficking about this mission?
Barbzion existed at that same time, so maybe they exist as a low profile human trafficking place to get around the law.
If 1975 = opening of Barbzion, maybe the traffickers were somewhere else and moved there at launch? New hotel, no rep. Maybe OSCE found where they originally were, the traffickers found out, and moved to a new hotel. OSCE wouldn't be watching a new hotel if they didn't suspect anything.
That is true. Maybe hotel is a codeword for a brothel or auction house. That would explain why the actual location doesn't exist as a hotel.
According to her introduction video, Gladys joined Division 66 in 1976, one year later. Just for reference.
Spoiler If anyone bothers. It may be good to look into Fontainebleau's stories, especially the forest. Maybe we could find something, a tale connected to what we did find so far.
