Indeed, I was just about to log out of IRC and go to sleep when my phone started buzzing away :) Nearly 2 hours later and my brain is bzzzzing away and I'm still awake.

I just did some quick searches and most of the messages given come up as bible refs, probably isn't anything though to be honest. Also, we don't know if these are all the messages sent out by dispatch, there could be other people who've received these messages but who have simply not posted them or shared them with the other agents yet.

Because I know someone in particular in HQ seems to have Dante fetish ;), I took "hell" to possibly refer to Dante's Inferno. Below are the lines that might match the numbers. So far it doesn't look promising, but I'm just keeping it in mind in case people start getting calls from Purgatory and Paradise.

Inferno - Canto 19 line 76 - "Below there I shall likewise fall, whenever"
Inferno - Canto 19 line 26 - "To move upon the outer surface only,"
Inferno - Canto 18 line 87 - "The Colchians of the Ram made destitute."
Inferno - Canto 15 line 56 - "Thou canst not fail thee of a glorious port,"

Must admit, sounds like "Tail" and not Tell/Hell to me. Perhaps the Agent in the field is updating on a target?

I heard two different numbers then. First was 19 tell / tail 6. 19 tell / tail 76.

I really wish it had been clearer. :D I'm still not convinced that I heard mine correctly as I seem to be the only one that has heard letters. BT tell / tail 87 (and I only decided on tell / hell because everyone else did - I thought he said cell).

Hmmmmm.... I don't think dispatch was repeating the message. I think the fragment dispatch received was literally "19 ..tell ..6 repeat 19 ..tell 76". I think it was the original message that had gaps and mangles and such. If so, then "...tell" was probably the end of a garbled word.

    That's actually a good point.

@Rohva I definitely got 19 Hell 76 the agent on the phone confirmed the 'H' in hell.

Going along the same line of thought as above, just to rule out the possibility, I tried equating the latter number to letter and word count; doesn't look promising either:

    Word count:
    Inferno - Canto 19 word 76 - "thou"
    Inferno - Canto 19 word 26 - "prostitute"
    Inferno - Canto 18 word 87 - "theirs"
    Inferno - Canto 15 word 56 - "foss"

    Letter count:
    Inferno - Canto 19 letter 76 - "h"
    Inferno - Canto 19 letter 26 - "u"
    Inferno - Canto 18 letter 87 - "o"
    Inferno - Canto 15 letter 56 - "o"

    So our confirmed responses are:

19 Hell 76 (dispatch confirmed the H in Hell)
    19 Tell 6 repeat 19 Tell 76 (voicemail)
    19 Tell 20 repeat 19 Hell 20 (voicemail)

Then the 3 more dubious responses:

    18 tell 87 "eitee(n?)-tuell, eitee-swven"
15 Tell 56 (is 60% sure this was the message)
BT cell 87 repeat BT hell 87 (the only part of this I can confirm is the 87)

I just learned in IRC that we can confirm back to dispatch so it might be an idea, as ChilePete suggested, that for any more calls we confirm back to Dispatch in phonetical to confirm exact message. :)

Wow! people have more faith in my "hell" idea than I do now :) Ok I'll start looking into it again. But maybe we should be working with the original Italian. I'm sure the quotes I reference are worded differently in various translations.

Once again I'm going to say that I don't think all the agents that have received messages have come forth.

This is really weird... We have confirmed "hell" messages but also confirmed "tell" messages. Maybe the "tell" numbers and the "hell" numbers should be looked at separately. Maybe two different parts of the code
