Anyone else have issues with the morals of mission 2?
Not a big fan of ruining someone's marriage/career just cus they support privacy, especially when I have yet to find evidence that he's "a bad guy".

    Thoughts/opinions?

Its a "for the greater good thing", so in a way its justibiable
Also, arent we just ruining his reputation/public oppinion? I dont recall seeing something about destroying his personal life

I suspect it'll be a personal scandal, so it likely will be tough on their personal life. That's the world of espionage, though. It's not about "good" vs. "bad". It's "us" vs. "them".

I seem to be at a loss on how to even gather information on the subject in question. Got the information required via e-mail, but searches online are fruitless as the represented area is nonexistant and I am otherwise blindly XKeyscoring entities, but that seems to also be fruitless since there is no information on said individual.

    Nudge 1:
Maybe someone close to him has what you need?

    Nudge 2:
His phone would be a good place to find information on such a person.

Except there is literally no starting point referenced.
All I have is a name, a subject number (no archive is workable), an IP address that goes no where, and the dispatch email.

Sure there is. Check the mission briefing. Tell us what you've done so far.

End of Phase 1 was a name and a lot of xkeyscore names (resulting from the bregancon system). The only details in the mission document are an e-mail address (simply returns a subject number that doesn't have an archive entry and required entry items), an IP address (checked osintscan (tbw, google, bing, yahoo), fingerprint, hydra, active directory, file browser, nothing works; the actual IP address bounces to a Russian ministry page is down splash page), the subject's name (not a real person (at least in the alleged position) and the Essonne doesn't exist, so no real world information to be used), a Japanese air terminal, and a location in Russia.

Went back a step and checked the party affiliation of the guest list names, tried those of the same (or formerly) of the subject's party, no connections or even hints to a connection. Short of cross referencing all by brute force, there doesn't appear to be additional information there or the Fort individuals.

Stepped back further to bregancon server, tried airodump, password cracking all user names from the active directory for the file browser, active directory simply has their names, no added locations on internal sfuzzer or osintscan, no MITM either via ARP or LLMNR.

Stepped further back to Dupuis system; no airodump, no MITM via ARP or LLMNR, no added locations via sfuzzer internal or osintscan.

Ok. I found what it was now (which is incredibly frustrating). They updated the mission document with an archive file number after the mission went live. The original one posted that I was working off of didn't have it.

What format do i need to use when posting the answer? I believe i found the right date
The one when he only has "Instructions - meditation at home for beginners" in his schedule
but the prompt will not accept it. I tried ddMMYY, MMddYY, dd.MM.YY, MM.dd.YY and dd.MM.YYYY, MM.dd.YYYY even though it only expects 6 characters.
If the date i'm thinking of
    november 9, 2018
is not the right one, then I'm completely stuck as I have no other leads.

You don't need to enter the prompt in-game. Send the date to Division 66.

    *dies of embarrassment*
Thank you. I had a little brainfart, I guess, and didn't read the last page of the briefing.

If I had a nickel for every time I replied to a helpful hint with "it doesn't work!" and had to go back and edit it because it suddenly clicked...well, I'd probably have a dollar or so. And it is a new facet (a pretty awesome one!).

    Enoch52, Zaelong,
Us vs Them get's pretty rough. Especially when 'them' is supposed to be 'us'.
(It's not like Oliver wants French civilians to die. He just wasn't want them to live in a 1984'ish world)

So it's ok for the NSA to blackmail various senators to ensure the patriot act get's renewed when it expires? (For a USA perspective)

Are we going to have a mission where we expose General Patraeus cus we're worried he'll regulate our access to CIA intel? (for a slighly dated perspective).

Pretty soon we'll become the villain of a political intrigue/action film. (Think Mercury Rising, conspiracy theory, etc)

That said, so far this mission is pretty fun.

How did I get drafted to defend the morality of international espionage? I didn't say it was always moral; I said that sometimes people in the intelligence world are asked to act immorally.

Did you really think that agents of [insert your favorite nation] are good guys and [favored nation's traditional enemy] are always bad guys?

Ran into a bit of a wall with a few physical attributes

What's Olivier's tattoo? Julie's instagram post says it's in the "second photo" But I'm not seeing it.

    Thanks

    Enoch52, fair.

I agree that intel agents of all countries are not all good guys, nor are all bad guys.

I guess lets say that from a moral standpoint, i'm having much more fun hunting killers than hurting people that seem 'good'.
after all, he agrees that han shot first, how bad can he be? :p

There's an arrow on the middle of the right edge of the first photo if you hover over it. That should take you to the 2nd photo.

    Btw is the
CCTV in Beaufort´s kitchen good for anything - I wonder if it makes sense to try to find the factory reset code or if it is a red harring

Edit: nevermind it is actually part of the mission 3 - as usuall I got ahead of myself!
