New Theme - Your Vote

Oh wow. I love it, it looks sciency. My one note: the light blue highlights on v2 doesn't interact so nicely with the white text on the left side of the post.

EDIT: I guess it only covers STAFF posts, not OP.

 

The v2 is really cool, but the original is really color balanced...

Also : ORANGE

 

Colouring is for Staff Members only, not related to who made a thread.

As for the themes; I really like the new version 2 Black Watchmen one. It has more "pop" than the original Black Watchmen one, but doesn't detract from the users attention by leading the eye away from the text.

Considering the fact that the comic is also slightly in the background, I could imagine it being updated each generation with new key-moments from the comic - but I'll leave my brainfarts out of this for now. ^^

 

The original Black Watchmen is still my favorite, though I feel like the v2 could surpass it with some tweaks. I personally don't like the characters in the background and the blue doesn't feel as good as the orange.

 

I like the blue, but maybe because it goes with my avatar. Anyways, the other formats aren't going away, right?

 

I'm ambivalent about all three.
The comic is visually noisy to my eye, distracting from the content.
TBW2 is less noisy, more abstract but still has comic elements - I guess I'm just not a graphic arts sort of guy. I do like the right side of that one though.
The original is abstract and unintrusive but has nothing to do with the context.
If I had to choose, I'd like the website splash screen from a couple months ago with a blue map of the planet and comms/travel links mapped out

 

I know the comic book background is a bit controversial at the moment.
However, while not ignoring the question of whether or not to keep that part of the theme, it raises another question; are you contemplating featuring different comic backgrounds for the different class themes?

I.e. Scientist theme will feature a Scientist(s) from the comic.

 

Miss the Orange from V1, but V2 is starting to grow on me the more I use it.

I prefer the new V2. I liked the comic version before, but it was perhaps to loght, and there was still a lot of orange.
This one is darker, and I prefer it, even if buttons are still orange.

I suppose BlackWatchmen need more neutral colors in its theme, compared to TSW faction colors.
What about a darker shade of orange (like the one from the comic theme's title) perhaps?
Or some blue-ish purple (even if purple is a phoenician color in TSW), like on the multipass?

 

I'm looking at v2 on my phone, and the background on the mobile forums is some unidentifiable part of the comic. Can that be changed? I don't know how this works, but having the 'network' part might be nicer

 

I see the new comic book theme before I log in, but when I log in it reverts to the old one? That is probably not intended is it?

 

It's always saved my preferences. You've selected v2 when logged in, right?

Hmmm...V2 is nice...but I like Orange too much to not be biased in my opinion.
My Vote will be V1! (Comic Book version again not orange. Huehuehue, Vismal loves orange)
