Do you understand what we are looking for here?
When a map is made, the cartographer may want to leave a little hint that they can use to trace themselves back to the source. This is often a "trap street" - a street that might not even exist is added to a map in a hard to notice location.

If the map is copied by another map company, and it includes this fake street - it can be concluded that the 2nd company copied the first instead of charting the area themselves.

Have you "charted" the area yourself? Taken a "stroll" through both maps?
    Spot the differences.

    A little more guidance
If you want to get from Deponija to Stara okretnica, you'll need the driver to punch your ticket.

    Last Nudge
When you get to town, pick up a schedule for the 10A bus.

    21-2 Severed Lines

Did you find a chart of submarine cables in the area?
Look at the manifest, try to get an idea of the region in question based on the origin points.

Or as the document says, Point D'Origin. What language is this? Could that be significant?

    Bigger Nudge - Word based
If we still lived on Pangaea, we wouldn't have a need for many submarine cables. Especially in the Southern part of the supercontinent.

Nudge for the NITE-Team Members in Training:
    egrep '^\w{8}-\w$' submarine_cable_list.txt

    21-3 Silent Sky

    Short technical explanation:
    • The electromagnetic spectrum is broken up into "bands" of similar wavelengths/frequencies.
    • Visible Light has wavelengths of about 400-700 nanometers and a frequency range of about 430-750 Terahertz (10^12)
    • The Ku band is part of the Microwave spectrum and occupies the 12-18GHz (12-18 Gigahertz, 12-18 billion cycles per second) range.
Now that you are familiar with WHAT we are looking for, you need to consider the following.

What region of the world are we looking at? What satellites on this band cover that area?

    Bigger Nudge
    Where did our cable terminate?
That's not a very populated/urbanized area, so maybe they only require a few satellites.

    Final Nudge
Satellites cover a large area - and geostationary satellites move orbit at the same speed that the Earth rotates to cover that area all the time.
These geostationary satellites are usually centered on a longitude line.

Our area is in the Eastern Hemisphere.

This mission will need an update.

On 2022 a new cable will be put to service. The island will no longer be "isolated" by cutting the cable...
