We've had a thread like this for TBW, but because NITE Team 4 has a lot of new players lately, I figured a thread just for NT4 was in order. So, new agents (and old ones who want to meet the newbies), please feel free to introduce yourselves here! I'll start: Hi, I'm codex! I'm located in the Northeast US. I'm a moderator on these forums as well as the Discord server, and my experience with 'real life' hacking is slim to none. However, I'd like to think I've got a pretty firm grasp on puzzles and 'outside the box' thinking, both of which tend to factor heavily into Alice & Smith games. I also tend to make myself available for new agents needing guidance in their missions, so if you're stuck don't be afraid to drop me a line!
Hi folks, I'm Zeus. I am from across the pond in little 'ol England, think Pride and Prejudice/Bronte and that's basically where I live. I have been playing The Black Watchmen for a long time, and jumped on the NT4 bandwagon as soon as I saw the Kickstarter! I work in IT and have a computing/business background - but no hacking! I am often floating about on here (and discord occasionally!) so if you need help just ask. I will now go and struggle with Ahnayro for a bit!
Heya guys, I'm LogThatData. Some of you probably know me as Russell in the Discord chat. I live in Switzerland now, but lived in Australia for quite a while before that. I actually found out about The Black Watchmen, Ahnayro and NITE Team 4 at the same time, as a friend of mine wrote a review on the first two and told me about the third. I then proceeded to binge the first two, as one does, and have been eagerly following NITE Team 4, digging up every secret I can find. If you need help with something NT4 related feel free to ask me here or on Discord and I'll be sure to help
Hello everyone! I'm Orion, Agent Starcode. I live in sunny Florida and have a background in computer breakfix and repair. I am currently obtaining my BS in Cybersecurity with a minor in Psychology with the hopes of becoming a cyber criminal profiler. I found NT4 just shortly after the Kickstarter campaign ended and, naturally, knew this was going to be my new addiction. I have completed Ahnayro and am the creator of the unofficial sequel, Continuum. I own an independent hivemind server node within NT4 - find me and get to hacking!
heyo, I'm catcat (or Sigma Phi) I'm living in southern Canada and I like to think I'm pretty good at puzzles. (im really not) I like programming, and have a reasonably short attention span. I do want to get into ethical hacking IRL, but it's gonna take a while. I've been playing TBW for a couple years now, and I'm honestly garbage at it. However, I am good at NT4, so if you need any help with that, hit me up on Discord, because I'm not active on the forums.
Hey folks. Krane here! I come from a security background, though honestly I found this game by pure chance. I started playing TBW after steam suggested it to me and one thing lead to another before I found out about NT4. Anyways, you can usually find me in discord and I'd be thrilled to help/work with any of you as more content comes out!
Hi everyone, I'm dawed1999 I live in Israel and currently 6 months away from recruitment. I initially discovered TBW, Ahnayro and NITE Team 4 through James Recommends and since then I have also found my passion for Stenography and Cryptography. I occasionally go on Discord but feel free to PM me on the forums about anything related to NITE Team 4
Hello all, I'm Spyre9 and been lurking in these forums for a while. Figured I'd say Hi! and put a bit about myself. I always had an interest in hacking and cyber security but never really pursued it though have a few friends who work within that world (One guy told me there was a sign on the main door saying 'If you dont want your phone hacked dont bring it to work' lol). Found NT4 after doing a search for a decent experience after working my way though vaarious games on Steam (and before Steam) and have to say NT4 is truely excellent and very much looking forward to what the future holds and collaborating with you all!
Hello everybody! Im raul_ct, but you can call me Raúl. Im Spanish and 20 years old at the moment. Some people know me, i played TBW from season 1, but i dont talk too much Im a mod in the forums too. Lately i was not too active playing because i had some really important RL matters (AKA keep the cover) but i open the forums everyday to read everything and ban all the spammers i find I allways loved the stingerOS missions from the black watchmen Spoiler: Season 2 mission 29 spoilers But not the 3 doors one, the damm encryptation didnt worked well for me and i was stuck.. so when i heard A&S started to develop the game i loved it from the beginning and backed it, i became a mod not just because the game, because the A&S team its the best dev team Ive ever met and they love what they are doing. And just by knowing that I knew the game was going to be great. Im studyng IT, so i have some experience with kali and linux in general. See you from the shadows PD: Sorry about my bad english
Greetings. Seshemw here. When NT4 showed up on Kickstarter, I was thrilled, and jumped right in as a contributor. In early editions I was crowing to co-workers that they had to try this thing, it wasn't all hollywood two-people-on-the-same-keyboard bs hacking. Thanks to that, I ended up loving TBW, including getting to do a live event by trucking up to New York during ROLLINGVIPER. I'm a mixed bag of skills in tech, and was in the military briefly back before they had positions for PCs. I don't miss my tractor trailer full of 'computer'. Networking: engineer, architect, security, forensics, and system engineer. I've done penetration testing professionally and as a hobbyist (for friends, nothing naughty), and have a few certifications. When I have time and cash, I plan to do a lot more with SANS, and my boss is going to let me do OSCP certs on their dime. Kali (and Backtrack before it) were my preferred platforms, but I'm pleased to see things finally opening up with new contenders. It's refreshing, compared to the bad old days of security through obscurity, where the only way to learn these things in the real world was black-hat. Stay safe, and remember to always use proxies and cutouts, Agents!
Greetings fellow agents, I go by the code name SH4D0WZ0MB1E and I'm from the USA. Saw an ad on Facebook for this game and decided to check it out. I've played similar games like NT4 before. Started with Uplink years ago, played a bit of Nethack, and most recently was playing the new Slavehack2. I've always been interested in these types of games, but NT4 seems to be the most interesting with all the different tools and tactics you have to use. Puzzle games are a favorite of mine and I like games that push me to think outside of the box. I'm a big computer nerd (going to school for IT), so being able to find something that fuses my interest in technology and my passion for gaming is exciting. I'm an easy going guy, so if you see me around feel free to chat.
Agent Spieo checking in from Virginia I've started with A&S games with (late into) TBW, helping out Seshemw up a few posts with missions and even the intro event (to I think) Alone In The Darkweb (he was in the field to intercept that package in NYC). This sort of stuff is not my strong suit, which lies more in the things needed for TBW (obscure historical and myth knowledge) but surprisingly to me, I've a grasp on the hacking part of things. if only I had learned Stokoe Notation I'm excited to actually be involved with something like this from the beginning, as I can really participate in events.
Agent DirkDiggler here, real name is Rob I heard about TBW while searching for ARGs to get started in. I am a novice with these games but with the Discord channel I am learning a lot. Finishing up S1 and loving it, I am from New Jersey. As agent Spieo stated above I am also excited to be involved in this from the beginning. See you guys!
Greetings agents. My code name is Jayitreon, however everyone just calls me Jay. I've been apart of the Alice & Smith community ever since I backed TBW back in August of 2014. Only recently did I decide to create a forum account with my updated information. I'm currently an intern CND Analyst and have a good amount of experience in IT & Cyber Security. Seeing a game like this brought into fruition is incredible, and I'm so glad to be a backer of the project in it's early stages. Here is what led to me discovering TBW and Alice & Smith, which has consequently led to me being here as a proud backer of NT4. I attempted to participate in the 2012 Cicada puzzle and although I didn't get anywhere I was hooked. I taught myself all I could and spent all my free time studying different applicable subjects. In 2013 I tried again and had great success. I even made a friend along the way. My friend wasn't nearly as deeply engrossed in the whole event and topic as I was. He was actually the one who mentioned "The Black Watchmen" kickstarter to me and sent me the link. (For which I'm eternally grateful.) He had stumbled upon it while idly browsing and thought I might be interested. Ever since that day I've been a huge fan of this ARG universe. Apologies for being late to the thread, I just felt like introducing myself since I've begun being more active on the forums as of late.
Hi Everyone. ShaggyJustin (AKA Tekelili) here. Im from the deep South and have a degree in network security. My job requires a me to use my skills very little though because it revolves more around password resets etc. Haha. Anyway, I'm glad to be here and have been playing TBW and Ahnayro for a while now and got in on the alpha of NT4. I am so excited for the final version to release.
So you all post here...then I do it too I'm from Switzerland (think you're be able to notice this because of my english^^) and I'm 32 years old. I have an education in Informatics and now I'm studying Psychology A big change but it's worth it. I'm happy with this change although it's hard. In my free time I write game reviews, play games (obviously) I pole dance and I read books. Oh and I'm a BIG cat lover I heard about The Black Watchmen and Nite Team 4 from a friend. Ahnayro was a recommendation in my Steam account and I really like it. I played Season 1 in TBW and the alpha and beta from NT4. I'm not that genuis for those games but I enjoy it though. Cheers
<securing channel> <connection established> <message sent> Agent NazuuRamba here, communicating from Sunny England. Played the free Alpha version and had bought the quantum pack within 5mins of playing. Background in IT (desktop/server support) and have dabbled with a few vulnerable virtual machines while teaching myself pen-testing techniques but nothing super serious. Really looking forward to get stuck into the closed Beta over this weekend <connection terminated by host>
Hey all, Ryumit from the UK Played the black watchmen back in its Beta but unfortunately didn't stick with it, however im back and really enjoying it. Glad to be backing the future release of NITE team 4 , just pre-ordered the first pack and will likely upgrade before the release. Background - I'm in the British Military Got to Mission 3 so far and having a little problem finding the username for the password attack however im sure i will get there in the end. On steam, just got your discord channel - always looking for cooperative play so feel free to hit me up on either. Nice meeting you all!
Hello all, I'm from Canada and I saw this game on FB and thought it looked cool. Just played the trial and it was fun. Makes me appreciate the skill that these real life individuals have. Thinking about getting the Quantum version of the game, if anyone has any feedback
