In the process of getting feedback and inspiration from the community for our upcoming campaign, I will start conducting short 5 minutes interviews with anyone willing to give us some of their time. Theses interview provide invaluable insight to help us narrow our teaser and campaign strategy. If you are ready to help, please say so in this thread and I will PM you for the when. To participate you need a webcam and have Hangout ready. The interview will be recorded. Thank you!
Sure, if it'll help out the campaign. I'll do one. Yes on the web cam and hangout, but my schedule is super weird and irregular this summer. I have all the dates I'm working though, just mornings some days, evenings on others.
Could probably manage to set it up, but not sure I'll have oceans of time before after the 10th of August, but it should be feasible. Let me know when, and I'll try to arrange things in accordance with that. Either way, I'd be happy to help, if possible.
I'm in, I'll even promise to not bring anything flammable to the table.... Well, no I won't. But it makes for entertaining interviews.
Once I return from the US (August the 3rd), I will be fully available. Will we know what kind of questions will be asked?
Hmmm, would it be a completely improvised interview? As in, will the questions be from a list of pre-verified and acknowledge questions (where we can prep a bit for it) or be pulled out of no wheres (where we have to improvise and rely on our quick wit) ?
I'll happily take part. I'm not the usual ARG player in that I'm more of a lurker who enjoys the community and the journey more then the puzzles (although when I figure one out I'm really pleased). I don't know if I'm the sort of person you're looking to interview though.
I'd imagine that they're looking for every "type of player" that supports TBW. In fact, I'd say that if you feel you are as far from the "ARG-type person" stereotype as can be, the better it would be for you to be interviewed. One of the major factors that scares off new agents, I suspect, is the fact that they are so used to categorizing their playstyle, and determine their favourite games based off of genre, that when they meet a new genre, they consider that genre/game to be "not for them" - based on false assumptions more than anything. The more A&S can show that ARG players are people who play all manner of games, from all manner of different stereotypes, the more likely it is that they can convince more fans of the mainstream genres to try an ARG. I, for example, tended to prefer FPS games, with the occasional RPG or nostalgia-driven revisit to the C&C RTS universe - so one of my concerns, had I not been introduced through TSW, would likely have been "what draw does an ARG have on FPS/RPG players?". Either way, covering what makes TBW interesting for other players, be it players who are looking for a great community, an adrenaline rush, a mind-bending puzzle, or a test of reflexes, is as important as covering why any "typical ARG player" is interested.
I would, but I am on holiday next week and then another holiday for the two weeks after that. I might have internet on the second holiday though, but not on the first.
I can , just give me a a date and hour ^^" I can hangout , tough you will have to speak slowly, i have hearing problems...
Only available after the 13th-14th of august. But, if you still need/want players points of view at this point, I would be glad to help (in french or english(not a natural speaker)).
Oh yes! Forgot to tell! I am back from my internship so I am free for the next month. If you need somebody from a non English speaking country, I can help (I'm from France).
Do you have a timeframe when you want to be poked? I'm about to leave for work until midnight EST and then working all afternoon tomorrow.
