Game resolution - 3840 x 2160 Display mode - Full screen (Seems to be border-less? Not sure if that is the Unity version of full screen.) OS - Windows 10 Description: When using the Xkeyscore module, it seems to be possible to to cause the algorithm complexity to overflow from what I'm assuming the max is (100%) to 120%, at least, 120 is the highest I have managed. Here is a short video demonstrating the bug, cut from a larger video I was recording to demonstrate another bug that appears to have either been fixed, or been user error on my part.
- Game resolution 1920 x 1080 - Game display mode (Windowed, Fullscreen, etc) Fullscreen - Operating system Windows 10 / macOS 10.13.5 (confirmed on both) THIS BUG PREVENTED PROGRESSING IN THE GAME I was progressing through the first mission (ODS.01: News Stream Live) and got to the point where you have to hack into the digital billboard company. At that point I had quit the game. When I came back several days later, I continued to progress and "finished" the mission. However, the mission did not finish. All of the appropriate voiceovers played for the rest of the mission, but the mission would not terminate. I quit and restarted several times to try and push through but nothing worked. I checked the Objectives and the first objective (as seen below) was not complete anymore. I tried to redo the steps to complete that objective but it would not trigger. I ended up having to reset my missions completely and start over from scratch, finishing the mission in one sitting, in order to resolve the issue completely.
(Disclaimer: Majority of the screenshots displayed here will show vulnerable subdomains for Operation Dragon Scale - Mission 1) SET Bugs: - It's impossible to complete the first objective of Operation Minerva - Mission 1. When the mission was introduced, successfully completing a SET attack on the company and infecting someone would open Turbine C2 Registry module and grant you temporary VPN access. Currently the bug prevents the VPN from being added to Turbine C2 registry, however, SET still gives "Attack Successful" text. Reopening the game and resetting progress didn't solve this issue. Selecting different variables also didn't help. (Learned of this with help from Jimbo and GamerChronicles) Spoiler: Attack Variables Palatura: Database - Dictionary Pattern ("Digital Export")/Email Crawler ("digitalexport.com") [Two Attempts] FileFormat - Adobe Acrobat PDF Embedded Exec Payload - Reverse Shell VPN Email Template - Sales Report Email Subject - May 2018 Sales Report Company Name - John Doe Spoiler: Screenshots once SET attack is "successful" Jimbo: Database - Dictionary Pattern ("Digital Export")/Email Crawler ("digitalexport.com") [Two Attempts] FileFormat - Adobe Acrobat PDF Embedded Exec Payload - Reverse Shell VPN Email Template - Sales Report Email Subject - sales report Company Name - [email protected] GamerChronicles: Database - Dictionary Pattern ("Digital Export") FileFormat - Microsoft Word RTF Buffer Overflow Payload - Reverse Shell VPN Email Template - IT Support Email Subject - VPN access Company Name - digitalexport I have a reason to believe that it's a bug only with the company related to the mission because launching a SET attack against fan-favourite company (used for testing by developers and seen in various screenshots and teasers) completed without issues. Spoiler: Screenshots, including the IP and name of the company I feel it's also worth noting that I had completed the mission in the past, but Jimbo and GamerChronicles were trying it for the first time. - After launching a SET attack, the numbers won't be displayed accurately and an animation won't play. The sum of numbers below "Bounce", "Spam", and "Inbox" does not match the number below "Email Database", however, the number below "Email Sent" (also, shouldn't it be "Emails" [plural] (unless it's the amount of times the email was sent, but then it should say "53 times")?) is accurate. If that happens, the animation in Listener for opened emails will not play (I don't remember if any emails will be opened in the first place). Once time ticks down you'll receive a message "Attack Successful" but will not actually get anything (I believe that's also the case for the one company on which regular SET attacks work, but I don't remember (however, the bug itself does appear elsewhere, meaning it's an issue with the module itself)). I haven't tested this with Dictionary Pattern, only Email Crawler. However, it seems that other variables don't do anything to influence this because I used the exact same combination twice and got different results - one correct and one not. I am not sure what's the deciding factor here. Spoiler: Example screenshot Spoiler: Example variables (Spoilers for Operation Minerva) Jimbo: (Didn't get the animation in Listener, so I assume same bug was encountered) Database - Email Crawler ("digitalexport.com") FileFormat - Adobe Acrobat PDF Embedded Exec Payload - Reverse Shell VPN Email Template - Sales Report Email Subject - sales report Company Name - [email protected] Palatura: [Two Attempts] Database - Email Crawler ("digitalexport.com") FileFormat - Adobe Acrobat PDF Embedded Exec Payload - Reverse Shell VPN Email Template - Sales Report Email Subject - dsafjdkslajfkls Company Name - dsfdasgsadgeh Spoiler: screenshots with the same variables but different results (Palatura) I'd like to note that it doesn't seem to matter what your estimated efficiency is. The bug seems to just... happen. - If you infect someone and get VPN Access before the animation is finished/all the emails are sent, the sounds will continue playing in the background (unless you close the module) and the animation will be blocked off by "Attack Successful" window. I believe this is by design and not really a bug, so I'm suggesting to either stop the attack upon infection or to allow us to see the animation finish in Listener. Hearing the sounds in the background is a bit weird to me. Spoiler: Spoilers for fan-favourite company To experience this I suggest using "Dictionary Pattern" on the fan-favourite company (internally used for testing purposes) to get a thousand email addresses. OS - Windows 10 Resolution - 2560x1440\1920x1080 - Fullscreen (2 PCs confirmed) Version - Closed Beta 0.10.9 Skin - QUANTUM The issue is with the ODS chapter 3. The timer on password attack to fileserver.truthhub.info is outrageous I spoke to other players and it seems that's a recent issue as previously that was enough to enter name, surname and age - and you'd be able to start cracking it... it'd take a while, but you'll have it. For me the only way however was to get all the keywords in PRINCE.config right to even be ABLE to launch the attack. That's said it still takes more than half an hour to finish this one off. I wouldn't mind to find all the keywords, but I believe that was not designed to wait for 32 minutes after you got all the keywords right P.S. Palatura confirmed the issue when he was checking it as well
New OS - Windows 10 Resolution - 1920x1080 - Fullscreen Version - Closed Beta 0.10.9 Skin - QUANTUM ODS chapter 3, I was not able to use audio player controls(play, pause, stop, replay, rewind). Trying to get the keywords from an audio having to listen it over and over again from the very start each time - is a hassle . I just tried on the other PC(Resolution - 2560x1440), the problem did not appear. I can provide any other information regarding this if needed. I believe screenshots are not applicable here. P.S. I would also ask you to add an opportunity to have subtitles for the video or a full transcript in a separate file as not all of your players are native English speakers and I tell you it may be very hard to parse it on the fly, especially given the differences in accents (I'm in New Zealand) That's said it wouldn't be much of a problem for me if I had audio player controls.... But I know plenty of people in my country who would struggle a lot without subtitles\transcript, so that's still a very important feature I believe
OS - Windows 10 Resolution - 2560x1440 - Fullscreen Version - Closed Beta 0.10.9 Skin - QUANTUM There is no means to mark this intel as "viewed" so it always stays highlighted as "new" even after you used it. Spoiler edit by zaelong: spoilertags added
I had the same experience but chalked it up to the "realistic" element of taking days to crack a password.
Spoiler: long timer spoiler try a shorter dictionary, i don't think it is a bug, does this game Rock or what
I found a little spelling error when looking into Wheeler and Dylan's profile during the XKeyScore certification steps. In their profile it states the following: "FAMILLY" - Unless I'm missing something (not natively English myself) I believe that's written with a single "L". Hope it helped!
