Hey, this one popped up on Jim Sterling's youtube page yesterday. It's an archive investigation murder mystery. It looks like the whole thing takes place on a older computer, in an archive. You search for keywords that appear in interviews with a woman about the murder of another man, and slowly piece the story together. I don't know if there's a 'win condition' or even measured progress within the game, I just thought it was interesting presentation of a narrative.

I'm pleased that several games over the past few years have been experimenting with presentation of gameplay and narrative. I have a feeling that I'll pick this one up when it's released.

I seen this was just a few pounds on Steam on Friday so picked it up. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from it, but started it yesterday to see what it was all about.

I think it is the first game I have ever played in one sitting, and definitely the first game I have ever "perfected" in terms of achievements. I lapped up the interviews and couldn't get enough.

From the very first video, I found myself captured. I wanted to find out what happened. I got lost in, well in Her Story. The actress did a wonderful job. I found myself surrounded in bits of paper with scrawlings of theories, hard fact conclusions, words and phrases to search for and coudln't keep up with which direction my brain was going in at any given moment. Even now after finishing it, I am wondering if I actually know anything at all. :)

It is a great game and definitely worthy of the cheap price!

Tutsie, care to link me to your achievements so I can compare unlocks versus time?
I mean, I 've been eyeballing this game for a while now, but for a narative game a single day is really short, any replay value?
That said, your "review" somewhat reminds my of my own Cloud Chamber review, got a chance to try that? I'm sure you'll love it and as a plus it's near impossible to complete it in 1 day ;)

Not quite sure how to link from my mobile, but my steam ID is tutsie_bear. :)

I was able to sit there for 10 hours though so chances are most people would do it over a couple of days!

Haven't heard of Cloud Chamber so Thank you for the recommendation!

Ooh, I played and finished this a couple of weeks ago. I was really captivated by the story and found it worth the small price for such an experience.

My house doesn't have wifi, so I went to a cafe to download this and have been poking at it.

I have a notebook full of Post-It notes.

    Basically I'm hooked.
