Spoiler: What I believe is the reasoning behind 7.2 You were supposed to see that the first several battles were overwhelming defeats for the British army, compared with the latter battles which were victories. The defeats were all land battles, and the victories were naval battles. Thus, successful tests are with the liquid substance and failed tests are with the solid substance.
i actually thought it was a very clever hint and the logic made sense pretty quickly after i discadred the success/failure route (based on the file and also trying it anyway )
I think that is part of the problem. I think some people are thinking something was vague or didn't make sense since they tried to solve it a different way or brute forced it. It's a matter of viewpoint.
Spoiler Yeeaah I was fed up after doing clue 2 for the unlock code. Read the question, looked up the first and last battle, put in the answer. While looking for the puzzle piece, realized the "state" change and no victory/victory pattern. Still no puzzle piece Overall the ramp up in difficulty wasn't too bad, especially when you remembered your skills. For me, once I remembered what we had and hadn't discovered and then how to do those actions - the missions were certainly do able. Remembering all of the tools in the toolbox and not getting hung up on one thought process is important. (Also slightly concerned about continued difficulty if we're already at veteran). Puzzle pieces. GrrrArghGrrr so many rabbit holes and it seems like (especially given that 8 and 10 are now known) we have missed something beyond obvious.
