So i have been thinking here that should i do an voice server (TeamSpeak or Mumble) so we can help other people there. No need for skype's etc anymore? What you guys think?
I think we should mainly stick to the forums and the IRC so we don't disperse too much. However, it can be practical to have a ominous but helping voice in your head (I speak from experience). And the risk of misapprehending someone is definitely lower via voice. So you have a +1 for TS from me. Whatever method you choose, progress made via TS or the like should still be noted in the forums so other agents aren't excluded.
So yesterday when I did the live stream I launched a GoToMeeting audio session for people. It allowed us to bounce stuff off each other, but we had people posting everything we were looking at back into IRC as well for everyone else. I think audio sessions for people obviously work better for short term bursts rather than trying to make it a permanent place like the IRC. So I am cool with TS or Mumble, was considering using it over GoToMeeting anyway next time (though people can call with their phone on GoToMeeting), but will only use it for events like yesterday. In any case, I agree to maintain contact with IRC and forums.
I think a TS server would be greatly beneficial, particularly for the live events. I would be willing to chip in to make that happen, if need be.
