Hello everyone! I just found out about this "game" on steam and I am determined to buy it, but the way I see it, I have to give my real info and may receive phone calls or even mails in order to enjoy this game, it`s fine by me but the problem is that I currently live on the northern parts of Cyprus and am soon going to Iran for 3 months, both of those locations are difficult to reach for other players who are mostly either Eueopean or American, also I have heard that the missions are based on location? I am sure that I am the only Iranian who will ever buy this game so highly doubt that there will be any missions i my area. So considering all this, do you think it's worth it for me to buy this game?
You do not need to give personal info to play, that is just for another level of immersion. The game is worth it as long as you have Internet access.
Hello Armin, welcome to the community! You are indeed in a unique situation! I hope Iran will be fun for you! We are determined to make this a truly international game, with live missions around the world. While you may not physically be close to a live mission, you are still able to participate online. We just finished a hunt for a rogue agent, where the community had to coordinate with a strike team on the ground in Chicago and Seoul. The whole community was able to command the strike forces in real time (giving commands, etc), without actually having to be in the physical location. As Silverfox has said, immersion level is by choice, so you can still have a great time playing the game at red level (lowest immersion.) Let me know if you have any other questions.
So I just bought the game and am downloading it right now. I`ll try to bring some of my fellow compatriots to the game when I go there and who knows we may get some RL events in Tehran someday hardcore RP is what made me buy this game.
