Whether you're clambering walls, decoding archaic riddles, preforming esoteric rituals, or chilling inside, everyone enjoys music. So post music to get pumped/focused/relaxed. While our operations are questionable, these tunes are not. Gotta love Theme of Laura, man. A couple GET PUMPED kinda songs Mac N' Cheese - Shawn Wasabi Rolling Girl - Hatsune Miku (Warning - lots of flickering)
And 2 Cool-Down Songs Genesis - Homestuck Chronicles - Homestuck Pretty much anything from the Sburb album is great for cooling down, tbh. Sorry for the triple post, I just absolutely adore music and have a lot in my back-catalog.
I'm usually playing something from Skinny Puppy or else whatever pops up at https://soundcloud.com/groups/electronic-dark-instrustial-metal-ambient-avantgarde And when I need a break from that I go for something like this:
... So, two pieces of media to a post. Probably wise. I was going to put a giant music dump in the thread. Instead you get two ambient tracks. (Ha. It's four songs in one. I win.)
Oh definitely this for me: Noir has that spy & detective feeling to it. Plus the music is great for winding down after a long day.
Love listening to this soundtrack while I'm working, I mentioned it in the recent AMA. This is a good song from that album, pretty slow and moody: This is another good one, a bit higher energy: If you haven't played Crypt of the NecroDancer, give it a go! It's very fun
As with anything, it really depends on mood and what I'm doing at the moment. But since I have to choose (damn 2-media limit ;P), based on the topic of the thread, I'd have to say these are two of my go-to artists when the main goal is focusing on a task, be it researching a mission or studying: Igorrr or Autechre
Oh my, almost forgot about Portishead ^^ Not to mention it winning by using scenes from "Tetsuo", there's some 80's cyberpunk for ya' Speaking of things that screams to one self; I so wanted to include this one in my previous post, as it's from one of the bands I listen to most often and in various situations (Nephew), and this specific song never fails to remind me of TBW, for what I think you'll agree are obvious reasons:
This mix (forged) is excellent. That second one especially. Then more links: The Enigma TNG - Shadow Lazerhawk - Electric Groove neon shudder - xenostasis
Aaaaaand I'm back! Persona 4 Soundtrack (Because I'm playing it rn, I love it) Riptide - Vance Joy (Because I'm mainstream and music video is great)
I'll throw in my two cents. I adore this album, and it is fantastic work/crack codes music. (Also, driving to PAX, we all listened to it on repeat for the full six hour ride.)
