Since moving into a new place yesterday, I've had trouble loading the video briefings in the first place... I don't think the internet here is very fast, but I can watch livestreams without issue, so I'm not certain that download speed is the problem here. EDIT: It seems that mission 5 loaded much more quickly, but mission 1's progress was cleared (by me? I don't remember but I might have) and loading Morpho video 1 took about 10 minutes and then didn't play correctly.
Hmm. I solved it and sent off an email, but I did notice a few things: Spoiler 1) The mission clue in part two lists the company as Morpho Medicial whereas the actual website is morpho medical (typo I figure) 2) Your email at the top of the website says [email protected] and the FAQ lists it as [email protected] 3) I way WAY overthought the password. Heh. EDIT: Spoiler I got a return email but it had no code... I wonder if I made a mistake or is this a time thing?[\spoiler] EDIT part 2: Spoiler My email was just being slow. Everything's good now.
This was a thoroughly fun mission for me. I enjoyed exploring the new website and seeing all the products (and easter eggs) was entertaining. I only really got stuck because I didn't do my research properly, more of a "well duh" moment than really getting stuck. Though after hearing about the... services that [REDACTED] provides, I'm wondering why Div-79 is ordering from them. I guess that's part of the big chess game being played though, isn't it.
Okay, Part one of this one... this is one where either the x's are needed, or the full name as well as the shortname should be used. Spoiler IE: it should accept both "Morpho Medical" as well as "Morpho Medical - Northwest Division" I was almost positive it would nto accept the full name, which is why I tried it first, and sad for me, I was right. More spoilers for part 2 Spoiler orders@morphmedical just bounces. emails to [email protected] has resulted only in the bounce/automail even though they have all contained the customer numebr and range from blank with the number in the subject, to a semi-formal "real format". No other response received so far (10 min from first mail) Edit: I clicked on the link for my very first email and it looks like it was the "[email protected]" one, not "[email protected]" so yeah, that needs to be fixed. In addition in the contact us, it says to contact the [email protected]. Of course it looks like you have already fixed these, so.. great!
Spoiler I've successfully emailed [email protected], but this hasn't resulted in an order number for me, just a 'We value you" response. This is how you're solving the puzzle?
Spoiler I've jsut gotten the autoresponses with no code either so... no idea. I'm assuming these may be manually read/responded to?
I like that the automated system has so many options. Messing with it I did notice something that could cause problems with agents. Spoiler If when it asks for your ID and you put anything in the box that isn't the ID it will keep saying it doesn't understand. You have to close it all out, reopen (clear history, log ins, cookies, etc. if your browser keeps your pages) and try again. Not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but I would be remiss if I didn't at least bring it up.
Is anyone else getting another Steam Update? I am and yet it only says starting and not updating. EDIT: nvm, it just finished another 3MB update, was that for the new mission?
Thanks for the info, just finished part 1. If you paid attention to the first 3 missions it was kinda easy to put 2 & 2 together considering they provide all these services. I would also like to mention that I tried the "northwest division" as well.
I'm having the same problems Spoiler I've sent three emails, all responses are the same gratifying day. The only thing I haven't included so far is "Division 79" as I figure we don't disclose who we are, just that somebody at Hanford wants something. I googled Bành Văn Dũng, (Dũng Bành) he has a facebook page that lists only a like for Boy-Việt, a vietnamese boy band. Will cogitate more on what else can be done.
I too sent an e-mail, asked for heavy water for Division 79's customer ID. Got the "gratifying day" message.
I loved this! I appreciate all the work you put into the site. I liked reading the Achievements. “Endurance” is one I plan on going for. I noticed a couple of Kickstarter achievements, but they were not lit up for me. Are they just placeholders for now, or are they supposed to be working? At one point I tried to revisit part 1 to see if I accidentally missed something, but I couldn’t. I already knew that we have to replay missions to review them, but his was the first time I wanted to go back to a previous part before finishing. I don’t know what the reasoning is behind requiring agents to replay a mission just to review it, but that is just a minor annoyance I can live with. I think it is more important to allow agents to continue to have access to previously completed parts of a mission until the entire mission is completed. I would “like” the company on Facebook, but I am a member of the irrationally anti-FB crowd. I would set up a new dummy FB account, but it is becoming increasingly harder to do so. If it becomes something necessary I’ll have to reassess. Spoiler I sent an email off on my first attempt at part 2. The reply came to my junk mail so I missed it at first, had some dinner and then found it later. It didn’t take me too long to figure out I had to go to the website and quickly found the automated system on the site. I spent too long trying to find an existing order or trying to guess Bành Văn Dũng’s access ID before I realized I needed to place an order. I also entered the “Morpho Medical – Northwest Division” the first time and was rejected.
I too noticed the kickstarter achievements, I also noticed the greenlight operative one, I am impressed at how you implemented the SAM blocking, considering what other game companies do is just set it to unobtainable somehow, you actually blocked all not-unlocked ones from appearing on Steam.
okay...so.. solved (thank you for obscure enough hint Rohva) Now the critique Spoiler Okay, so the wording needs to be changed on this because from the way it is worded right now, it sounds like we are trying to confirm an order that has already been placed, not place a new order. Hence the reason we were emailing. Perhaps the wording in part 2 shoudl be changed to "Place order for heavy water and obtain confirmation code". Anyway, that's my feelings on it. Still good other than that one (fatal) flaw.
I'm with you there, but being anti-FB is not irrational. I won't even use my dummy FB because it just attracts trash to a dummy mailbox that is actually useful. Spoiler Rohva figured it out - but then it begs the question in my mind - Instructions say to "Confirm Order of..." which means to me that the order already exists and needs confirmation. I don't know if others understand it this way or if it is intended to be misleading, maybe "Obtain some..." might be too direct for the mission's intent. I hope Division 79 needs a lot of extra D2O.
I agree with the wording change. I also found an issue with the portion of the site that you need to use. If you get the code wrong, there is no sign that you need to say "hello" in the chat to start again and all subsequent attempts to enter the ID come up with "I don't understand". I tried refreshing the tab, same issue. It only went away after I completely wiped my browser history (chrome user here).
Agreed. I've been poking about and found a few interesting things. I think we'll be getting to know Morpho pretty well in the coming months.
I just want to point out I'm not the only one or event first one who figured it out. Nikel seemed to be the first. Also, I like ambiguity of the objective. It's what appeals to me the most. I rather enjoy getting suckered at first and and then gradually figuring it out. Re-reading it after knowing the answer I see how I my initial misinterpretation was based more on my own bais, not on anything it explicitly stated. I don't consider it mis-leading. Maybe intentionally un-leading? But I see nothing wrong with playing with people this way. I definitely don't want to see mission formats become too predictable.
