    There we go, version 2.0.3!
    PC : https://s3.amazonaws.com/blackwatchmen/releases/Alpha/Windows/alpha-2.0.3.zip
    MAC : https://s3.amazonaws.com/blackwatchmen/releases/Alpha/Mac/alpha-2.0.3.app.zip

    2.0.2 New Update
    • MAIN FEATURES: Mission hub is now connected with our CMS. (Content Management System) This enable us to create mission and have them in-game without creating a new executable. (Section 1.1 to 1.5 from the dev roadmap)
    • 3 community missions and one div 66 mission to play with! These mission are just to test the CMS, they are not actual mission from the game.
    • New map engine: We changed the map engine to be native unity code.
    • The in-game browser plugin is now optional, a good news for anyone who had some problem with it. The default setting can be changed so the game will use your native browser. (Hit ESC to change the setting)

    2.0.3 Hotfixes

    • Remove the Upper Case formatting for the text clue
    • Add a "Copy Text button" for the text clue
    • Add a "Open in browser button" for the picture clue
    • Change the font format in the text clue
    • Submit a form when we hit enter
    • Fix the formatting for a line break (/n/r)
    • Fix the formatting for \ and "
    • Add a preview of the picture clue in the CMS
    • Add a user token system in the CMS (basic version for now)
    • Fix the size problem of the answer in the game client and add a limitation of character in the CMS
    • Don't replace special character by X in the clues hint (Example: /)
    • Fix the limitation of maximum 3 missions in the json string
    • If the picture take a longer time to display, don't show previous picture as a place holder
    • Keep the game window open when in background instead of minimizing
    • Add a Replay Mission button in the game client so we don't have to reset everyone. =)
    • New login screen with official theme song

    Upcoming in Alpha 2.0.4:

    • Mission Hub dashboard: a glance of what is going on with your current mission and global progression of the story-line.
    • Journal: A log of all your mission key milestones and a place to take notes
    • Login: News feed coming from the CMS

Don't forget, it's still an ALPHA version! =)

I'm glad to finally be playing the Alpha! I just completed my first Mission in it and am excited to start the second one! Would it be alright to post bugs and glitches in this thread or will there be a designated thread for bug reporting?

Alrighty! To start, for some reason the Briefing and Debriefing videos won't work. I've only completed Mission 15 so far, so I can't really say if it's just for that one or if it's for all of them. I'm running the Alpha on a Late 2011 Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10.2.

Video briefing are not done, I mean the shooting and recording of the content itself. =) Sorry about that!

If you can set video briefing, it means you can also put video as clues, using the same display.

Yes we will be able but from a content production perspective, if we go with 30 mission in season 1 (+ live events, rupture sites, etc...), we already need 60 videos (briefing/debriefing) so we may not have that many video clues from a cost perspective. We feel video briefing, even if sometimes its just a narration with pictures / infographics, will make the game much more immersive rather than plain text showing up in a window... A little like div 66 missions.

What do you think? Good / bad idea?

Just pointing that out, videos are a fun puzzle tool (take for example Cloud Chamber, or even the Situation Room) and not using it would be kind of a waste.

I like it. I would definitely feel a bit more involved if mission briefings were videos with voice overs. However, variety would be important otherwise it loses it's special "I'm an agent feeling." Perhaps some missions (Marked as hidden to the client by default?) would require another mission to be complete, triggering Email or SMS or in-game chat to send the mission with briefing, simultaneously unlocking it to that person's client?

You mean keywords able to unlock "hidden" missions ?

Sort of, yeah. It (c|w)ould spread like fire and everyone could get it unlocked to complete it, or it could be a select (read: Orange, or Yellow, or even Green) group of agents to get the unlock code, and it wouldn't work for others? Or for those higher level groups, an SMS that says "MISSION 80 UNLOCKED: FIND WALDO BEFORE WORLD IMPLODES" and then they just have the mission after that.

Turning off music/SFX doesn't seem to do anything whatsoever (PC client). Music and everything keeps playing.

Solved mission 15, no glitches. I like the interface, rotating the sphere of nodes to see how they connect.

The number and format of the Xs in the input field - does the interface require to be the same format as the answer, or can it be without format? The reason I ask is the format can be a really big clue - a clue that detracts from immersion.

For example: Headquarters needs to know which "famous building in London" is to be bombed. Seeing "XXXXXX XXXXX" implies that headquarters already knows there are 6 letters & 5 letters - why can't they just figure out "Canary Wharf"? "XX XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX" and "XXXXXXXXXX" would be "St Paul's Cathedral" and "Parliament"

I know that format can be a real problem in some cases so it is appropriate to ask for "XXX.XX XXX.XX" for geographic coordinates - I expect that should be offered as a clue rather than an input mask.

Personally, I liked the way it worked in the division-66.com missions, where the 'easy' rated missions had answers indicated with Xs, but the more difficult ones did not. I hope it works similarly in the final release. I totally agree with you about the 'brute-forcibility' that comes with knowing the length of the answer.

One feature I'm beginning to wish the client has is an option to remember my login & password so I don't need to do that every time on the same computer. My computer is secure in my ops bunker, er office, and I expect there are others not worried about unauthorized access on their usual machine.

Just to throw something else into the mix, I think it’d be helpful of the clues were explicitly numbered or had some other unique label so it’d be easier to refer to them in chat and forums.
