Hey all, Very new to The Black Watchman after discovering this site over Christmas. Is it me or is it very quiet seeing as the game should be out in a couple of months? Not much activity in this forum and not many updates from the developers. Appreciate we have had the holidays but it just feels there is not much hype and excitement.

Had a look at the beta yes, I play on a Mac and the map didn't work for me but the layout and concept looks good. I am really looking forward to this ARG, its a shame I missed out on the kickstarter and the perks.
*ominous nod* I agree that it is quiet, but as mentioned, it's not really indicative of how excited people are for the game. Acitivity tends to rise drastically once even the hint of a mission comes along, and then subside in between as Agents are recuperating. As for the Devs, I suspect they're going at it hard. Because of the sensitive nature of the information in the game, they can't really share that much with us - client updates and the like they can, but story-line and mission construction, which is arguably the biggest part of development, has to remain under wraps. I wouldn't, however, take the lack of forum activity as them not paying attention; we already know they've got the IRC channel bugged, for example.
Not to mention that right now I'm betting that a lot of work is going into sorting, labeling and shipping kickstarter rewards. Putting stuff in boxes is not exactly glamorous ;D Though I have this odd feeling that there may be a little bit more than we expect in those packages. I just can't imagine anashel passing up the opportunity to mess with us haha (Contents of box: One sheet of stickers, One set of dogtags, One USB Drive, One Dead Paralichthys dentatus, preserved in formaldehyde)
My bank account is still giving me dirty looks. I suspect that's also one reason things have been a little quieter on the game front than they might otherwise be. A lot of successfully crowdfunded projects tend to go through a stage where, instead of actually being able to dedicate themselves to working on whatever it is they were trying to get the funding for, they're forced to throw all their effort into fulfilling largely-unrelated backer rewards... and the TBW kickstarter had such a wonderf *glances at angry bank balance* such a terribly, terribly wide variety of physical rewards. -Bats
