Ok, so I'm CutieMcPouty (the name suits apparently) but I'm guessing on here it's gonna get shortened to CMcP which is all good by me.. I'll answer to most things (my mum seems to call me her sister's name, her mother's. Think amnesia's a family trait. jokes).

I'm your Rookie guinea pig. I got here through Kickstarter. I funded because i loved the principle of what it is, and what it stands for. I've never played an ARG and yeah to me this is slightly daunting, however, I'm sure i'll get through it when i work my way round the corridors of information.
Slightly daunting may not be a good description.. it really is quite, "how the hell have these people known what they are doing?" haha
But I'm your totally fresh fodder - so i guess its useful in a way cause you can genuinely go "as you don't know what your doing how hard did you find this?"

I'm a psych geek. Excitedly says "It just gives me chills!!!"
I'm totally into what makes people tick and why. I wanna climb inside your brain and start opening boxes. The good, the bad and the down right nasty (as Dex would say "your dark passenger") it doesn't scare me at all. I loveeee to learn about people.. It's the biggest turn-on for me.

Helping people personally grow into them self is huge, whether it's through closure of issues, phobias, or positive enhancement. We all get lost sometimes, and life throws things in the mix, but there's always a way back to happiness. ARGs bring people happiness, a community, a family, and that emotion of connection is the best thing in the world. Whether your a little recluse or a social butterfly this brings options for interactions.

I'm set to go into Criminal Psychology (or has been the plan for 4 years) and obviously profiling. I'm not scared of gorey things I'm more intrigued by why haha.. i spend a lot of time submersed in uni books and serial killer information. So in things like that i may be some use to you :)

I have strong characteristics of determination, drive and ambition. Failure is not an option in my world, and i despise weakness within me. I'm my toughest critic and that can make me the best i can be but also the worst. I have a high pain threshold and love to push limits on every level.

Lastly i'm extremely sociable.. and tactile.. i'll often wanna squish your face affectionately cause i can. Don't be offended.. roll with it :)

I dont play games.. Im not here to damage or destroy or make people doubt themselves in any way - im here to help people become aware and know if they have whats needed to do whats needed, and if not... how to help them achieve that if i can.

Im just your all round rogue maverick .. but the mavericks are the best psychs. haha

And Zerosh... i know you didnt mean it in a bad way haha I just wanted to clarify.. i may be intrigued by serial killers, but i dont want to produce any.. i think theres at least one down every road as it is :p

    <3 to all.

    Hello.
I'm a lurkery sort of person. Dark computer-cave dweller. I played some in the games run for TSW but didn't get very involved. I intend to get a lot more into this one. It seems like it's going to be crazy (good meaning).

I am Rohva. I came to this game via TSW, where I go by the name… you guessed it: Rohva. I haven’t played a full blown narrative ARG before. I missed the ones for TSW, though I like the out-of-game kind work that some of their investigation missions feature. Go Games and the beta missions for TBW are the closest I have come to playing ARGs of any kind. My appetite has been whetted, and I want more!

I was more than a bit disappointed when TBW didn’t pan out with the last crowdsourcing endeavor. I increased my pledge amount this time around but then just kind of lurked about waiting to see if it will materialize, not wanting to get my hopes up again. Since things now look quite promising, I wanted to shout out a thanks to all who are helping out.

Welcome everyone! It's good to see many new members appearing in the welcome chamber of the forums complex!

You'll find many interestingg things here, I've been exploring...and got quite lost. I found my way back by the smell of cookies!

All metaphysical presences aside, I hope all of you have a wonderful time here and welcome to The Black Watchmen.

Don't worry, it could be worse. They're deep-sea hatchetfish, not, say, goliath tigerfish. (Safe to google, but you won't want to go swimming any more)

Hello, Myri here. Words cannot express how excited I am that finally a PERMANENT ARG may be able to take off. *crosses fingers and toes, and knocks on wood three times for luck* 87% on our way to the goal I read today. Hopefully, TBW can make it in the next 12 days.

I've played in ARGs off and on since 2003 when Uru Live was in late pre-launch. It was my first MMO and the fact that they had a webcam on the ARG site (D'ni Restoration) showing avatars in real time moving around in the early beta ingame got me hooked. MYST players know very well that nothing presented is just there for the scenery. I think the highlight for me was able to meet finally the NPC Rawa and talk to him in character "in cavern" about D'ni librarianship. Our community ran with every clue into a fake society's culture, music, history, places of ages as far as we could from 5 games, 3 books and a multitude of sites.

I would come across the odd virus campaign here and there (Donnie Darko) but it wasn't until I learned on a forum about this new RPG called "Alpha Omega" in 2007 where the "Ethan Haas was Right" campaign got me re-interested in not only participating in the ARG but also to venture into hosting online RPGs with virtual tabletop software, using trans-media storytelling techniques to run my own campaign. Using several ARG sites, several online NPCs including the GMs being and NPC storyteller/chronicler & a very cranky AI admin of the NeoPangea Network, I was just starting to get our little group of players mobilized. However, I got sick but when I returned, the devs of "Alpha Omega" grandfathered me into their ambassador program and having found a virtual tabletop (iTabletop), I was able to host some sessions by taking an exclusive one shot with premade characters and turned a pnp module with sounds, narrative, music, and puzzles. I ran into some technical difficulties and RL drew me but creating these campaigns is lots of work but it's also a labor of love.

I'm here to help and with all that's going on in RL right now, it's much more fun to be led around in confusion than trying to thwart a group of very intelligent group of players. I know I'm coming late to this party as I didn't start participating until the Secret War and after losing access to the net, I missed out on the end of Division 66. I'm hoping I have net access when the game is afoot once more in January 2015. *knocks on wood three times for luck* (*secretly hopes that she doesn't have to search through the seed database for Monsanto's non-GMO corn seeds in the Doomsday Seed Vault ... again*) ^.^

    Hello all!
Not going to say much, but thought I would put my name out there. Never played an ARG before, but this looks pretty awesome. Any pointers or methods that can help make the whole thing more fun are welcome.
I'm not sure what to say as far as who am I am and what skills I bring to the table, but if you have questions, ask away. Otherwise, it's back to lurking and catching up on archived stuff.
