Hey everyone! I’m excited to announce that we have officially launched the first edition of the NITE Team 4 World Factbook. (Click here to visit the site) The Factbook will provide a wealth of information on the actors of NT4; NPCs, Factions, Government agencies and many more... The first edition introduces the player factions that we’ve co-created with some of our generous Kickstarter backers! It’s important to note that this is not the final version of our World Factbook. I’ll discuss some of our plans for the site further down in this post! What’s the NITE Team 4 World Factbook - First Edition? We designed this first edition of the site to give you an overview of the various factions active in the game universe, from the perspective of NITE Team 4. The front page lists all 13 active factions, each of which has its own faction overview page. You’ll notice a chart at the top of each faction overview page. This is our ‘At A Glance’ overview of the faction. These charts give a visual representation of: Structured / Unstructured - How much structure and hierarchy is present in the faction. Altruistic / Mercenary - How much of their motivation is tied to money or reputation. Mundane / Occult - How much interaction this faction has with the paranormal and supernatural. $$$$ / $ - How large their budget is. Low Membership / High Membership - How large the faction is, in terms of individuals. Below this chart, you’ll find an introduction to the faction, as well as some paragraphs describing the funding, size, structure, and security of the faction. You’ll also see a small sidebar describing notable members of the faction. Short-term goals for the NITE Team 4 World Factbook We’ve got a lot of great ideas for this resource, but in the short term here’s what we’re focusing on: - Faction search We want you to be able to search through the factions by their stats and by tags we’ll be adding. This will allow you to see what factions you align with, which you don’t really think you’d get along with, and will allow you to compare similar factions more easily. - Faction relations All of these factions exist within the same universe, and we’ve already started mapping out who likes who and who isn’t invited to next get-together. We’re going to be working on a way to display these relationships for you to see. - Adding official logos Right now, the images that are on the site were either provided by the faction leaders/faction co-creators during the co-creation process, or they’re stock images that we felt fit the theme and feel of the faction. We’re going to be getting some official logos for these factions and updating the site with them. - Adding a section about the faction leader All of these factions are led by somebody. Some of them are highlighted in the ‘notable members’ section, but we want something more robust to showcase these individuals. - Making the site more responsive and mobile friendly Once we’ve got all the data we want on the site, we’re going to start working towards a mobile-friendly and responsive layout so that you can access the site more easily and conveniently. Long-term goals for the NITE Team 4 World Factbook These are some goals we have for this resource that are going to take a little longer to get ready and implement, but we think they’ll be really great! - Faction bonus item At a glance view of unique items accessible through a specific faction. - Ability to join a faction from the site We hope to set the site up in such a way that you can join a faction in-game from a web interface. Factions are going to be a big part of the social and multiplayer aspects of the game, so we want to make sure that the barrier to entry is low and players have a chance to see all of the available factions. - Real time stats about the factions Statistics (like the faction’s current standing in the game, their latest activities, how many players have joined the faction) will be updated in real-time on the website, so new players can get a better idea of the activity level and size of the faction before they join. - Extended content on other topics NPCs, Government Organizations and unique technology set in the universe of NT4 will all get written pages for you to peruse in the NITE Team 4 World Factbook. Our aim is to provide a written guide to the entities that surround you in this universe, to allow you to better understand their actions as well as provide context. Does NT4 World Factbook record only factions/organizations to those who have backed the Faction Leader tier? Or can it also handle those discovered from hiveminds? (not necessary playable but with a strong lore) In any case, good stuff.
Hey. So there is a little mistake in my faction Forgotten Shadows. The leader should be Fungames300 not Fungames3000. Not big but I just wanted to point that out cause it bothers me Sorry for being annoying
