Im not much of gamer usually but thought i would give this a go.. disappointment was big when i realized it kills my CPU and even makes my browser slow.. Im running a HP with i5 4288u 8bg ram with hybrid hard drive.. Whats in this game that requires that much? There must be a fix, this cant be right? Thanks in advance
I was running the game in a intel core duo 2.4GhZ, it worked fine, and had no issues with the game. (just the pink sphere bug) I saw recently a virus who acts as a normal program, but it turn over its a bitcoin miner, maybe it helps.
Spoiler: Pink sphere I had an old GPU, it failed to render the shpere, resulting in: http://forums.blackwatchmen.com/index.php?threads/purple-globe-in-mission-hub.931/ What antivirus do you have? Try to give your PC a scan, specially the game.
Hi Agent Pik! Indeed, that's not normal. There is basically nothing in the game client aside the sphere, the video and the input screen with the clues. It's a basic unity game, I cannot imagine any scenario that would take 100% cpu! Your CPU spec are good, you have enough ram. There need to be a conflict or something going on that we can solve. Can you try to run the game in window mode and tell me if the CPU activity change on a specific screen. (Ex: Do you see a difference between the Sphere screen and the Input Screen for example)
I have the same problem. It makes videos/music in missions unwatchable/unusable. Everything stutters and my fan is running like crazy (not mentioning the heat). It's the same with all screens. I thought maybe the "smoke" in the background is the reason? Or some Unity issue? My laptop isn't new but still runs 3d games with no problems.
@Techn1k This is an old issue which was brought up by me almost a year ago. Sooooooooo. There might never be a decent patch for it. Have i5-4670K @ 4,4Ghz and 16 gigs of ram and still the CPU shows 100%
