    Hello all,
    As you are certainly aware, the time is now upon us for our yearly lab audit. The audit has taken as little as five hours and as long as two weeks in the past, depending on how organized and efficient we can be in our processes. With the loss of Agent MidDipper, I do think that the audit may take longer than average this year (the lab is in a state of disarray even now, compared to years past), but if we all work together and keep our goals in mind, everything should go off without a hitch. The following tasks must be completed by on-site staff as soon as possible:
    • Inspect all lab equipment (including vacuum chambers) for wear and tear to components or other issues that may affect performance. This does not count towards the required number of inspections each piece of large equipment must individually have yearly or over the course of many years, as those must be completed by impartial inspectors. Mark failed equipment for replacement/repair.
    • Inventory all glassware and other lab tools.
    • Inspect all glassware and other lab tools for fractures, cracks, or other imperfections that may cause failure in pressure/heat/other extremes. Discard unsuitable tools.
    • Inventory stock specimens in the storage area. Mark missing or damaged specimens.
    • Perform purity tests on all stock specimens to ensure no contamination has occurred due to human errors. Mark impure specimens and set aside for destruction.
    • Test all faucets, electrical outlets, and gas taps for safety.
    • Create a list of inconsistencies or safety issues found during the audit. Generally we end up with no more than 10 items on the list-- any more than this would trigger an official inquest from the Division head. The past three years we have had 4-5 issues on this list, which were promptly taken care of.
    I appreciate all Micro C staff's cooperation during the audit and look forward to the results! Any questions, comments, or concerns can be relayed to me directly through this conversation thread.

    I was a bit surprised when I opened up my inbox and saw this message. Mostly, as I'm in our courier department, and barely have anything to do with the R&D departments in general. Though I guess I'd be obtaining items for your use occasionally (I've only been working there for about a month). I'm not sure if that is an error with the system, or whether or not I simply got added to the list of recipients by mistake. Not that i'm blaming anyone for that, these things happen ^^'.

    Anyway, I don't know how much a hassle the audits going to be, but if your all cleaning and organizing everything I would like to help out, if I can get the clearance. After my, umm . . . 'misadventure' a few days ago (Which i'm still being ridiculed for. . .) I haven't been able to do any of the work I would normally be doing. I tend to go a little crazy if i sit for to long, Which is all that I am able to do at the moment as I am currently stuck on crutches for the next week.

    I might not to be able to lift or move things but i can help catalog and organize. If not, then it's no biggy. I just figured i would put that out there.

    Ether way, good luck to you all! ^^

    Hello Agent Ravenhold,

    I'm not sure how you wound up on this mailing list, due to interdepartmental restrictions I'm actually unable to contact you directly so I'll have to use this to communicate with you. It's entirely possible that you were involved with a Micro C project at some point in the past year (whether you were aware of it or not) and as such will be required to participate in the audit. The only personnel who will be completing the audit will be actual Micro C staff. If you'd like to apply to join our staff, we can always use more lab techs and due to a shortage of applicants I'm sure @zaelong would be able to ensure you are provided on-the-job training as needed. A dedicated Micro C courier may not be a bad thing, either. Please find attached the job description for lab technicians.

    While the idea of having been subjected to some sort of experiment or another without my knowledge or consent is somewhat daunting, I do have to say that working as a dedicated courier sounds intriguing. However, after reading over the ad you sent to me, I doubt I qualify for it. Specifically, pertaining to the 'Education and Experience' section.

    I was recruited for my capacity to "Get anyone, anything that they need and anything, anywhere its needed". Or, rather, that coupled with my other (rather illicit) skill-sets. Needless to say, while i'm no idiot and do have a vast array of knowledge in many different fields, I do lack even the most basic of academic diplomas. Also, I doubt any of my non-interdepartmental references would be counted as 'professional' by any sort of 'traditional' standard.

    With all of that said, however, I am a quick study and am also willing to sign up if all of that can be overlooked ^^.

    In all seriousness though, i'm dying to know what you guys may or may not have done to me, or had me do. . .

    Seeing as I am non-research personel assigned to Micro-C and therefor not trained on a fair amount of equipment, should I stay on the sidelines and not touch anything or what?

    @Ravenhold Don't sweat the non-directly related skills, I became the closest thing to dedicated security guard down here after some...openings(?) appeared.

    EDIT: DID WE EVER BLESS THE SEPTIC TANK FOR BLOCK C?

    Agent Ravenhold,

    Any information pertinent to whatever study you may have been involved in should be available in the archives, provided that you have the correct clearances to access that. I wouldn't try to read the documents if you don't have proper clearance-- the late MidDipper had a habit of using somewhat nasty forms of dissuasion. Due to the current lack of personnel across the R&D arm of the Agency, I imagine that 'on the job training' wouldn't be out of the question for 'utility' staff members (much like Agent Castilion), however lab technicians are still held to those standards. Again, I would consult with Agent @zaelong to make sure.

    Agent Castilion,

    We need as many people helping as possible. While you aren't trained on most equipment, I'm sure you're able to count well enough to assist with inventory. And yes, the septic tank was taken care of. I have a record of it in a file somewhere, I could dig it up if you'd like?

    I hate this time of the year. That's why I always book my holidays during the audit.

    I should start with a apologies for the lack of communications from my side, these past few weeks.
    lately ive been studying the appearance and behavior of some exotic creatures that suddenly appeared nearby, and their interactions on the current fauna was very interesting, (though it might be more acururate to say that the fauna interacted with them...)

    i also want to apologize to @Ravenhold; since they could have been exposed to some sort of experiment; i will try to sort this out as soon as possible. (i should note that there is only the possibility of them being exposed, this doesnt necesarily have to be so.)

    Agent Dylanamite,

    While I understand you are on holiday, please make sure that Dylanalike is present for the auditing process. We need all lab techs on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly.

    @Castilion :
    I'm not. I was just making sure they where aware of my lack of any sort of formal education before any sort of decision was made. Also, that the only relevant skill-set that i can apply to this particular department is a background in 'Transportation' and 'Acquisition'. everything else can be learned ^^.

    @codex-13 :
    I'm only CL red, so I doubt I have the proper clearance to access those files (if that is even related). That is also another point out of my favor for employment with this department as well, as the job apparently requires orange level clearance. Again though, I've only been working in Div 79 for about a month and haven't really been given any opportunities to increase it, (though I've tried several times). Though, it only makes sense to given the amount of time that has elapsed. Can't really expect just to show up and have access to everything ^^'.

    @zaelong :
    No worries. I'm not even sure if that is in fact the case. @codex-13 brought up that that may have been the case, as i should not have ended up in this thread to begin with. I was just really curious if that was in fact the case, and if so what the details where. I can't say that i feel any different, so whatever may have happened doesn't really bother me to much. If i cant know then i'm not to worried.

    Anyway, If you need the help then sign me up!

    Hello all,

    The audit is well underway, the majority of Micro C has been properly audited with only a few areas left to be finalized. In the meantime, I have a couple of important announcements to make. Firstly, I am going to be moving back onsite. I moved to an offsite location not long after my initial hiring in the Agency, for personal reasons. However, I'm going to be moving to a different department within the Agency, one that requires I be onsite. After this audit concludes, I'm going to be transferring to the Archives department, to assist with their efforts in digitizing many of our older documents that only exist in a print or film format. You will still all be able to contact me in the usual ways, and I'll actually be a lot more accessible since I'll be onsite once more.

    Regards,

    @Castilion lemme guess...someone pissed off the eldritch beasts again, and we lost quite a few interns to them and the buzzing shadow things?

    @codex-13 good to know. i will have need of assistance in digitzing some of the older magical texts we have in the archives. they can be a bit challenging.
