Hi everybody! Agent Ursos from Columbus, OH signing in. I recently found this game/site, and let me tell you, I’m rather stoked that I did. I was heavier into ARGs about a decade ago, but had a really hard time getting involved in any meaningful way. I felt like I needed to be constantly reading forums all day to stay up-to-date, and any possible puzzle that popped up seemed to get solved before I knew it even existed, or else it was so far over my head I was useless. I heard about Majestic, but it was already down/over by then. Something recently brought ARGs back into the front of my mind, so I started poking around again. And here I am! I’m currently on the last piece of the last mission of Season 1, frantically trying to catch up with Season 2 (as time allows). What I love about this game is that I can go at my own pace and that I have the option to play on my own or with others. I haven’t yet jumped into IRC on this, but I’m sure that’s inevitable. I’m not a super genius at solving puzzles/mysteries, but sometimes I know the right thing to do. Case in point – there was a mission involving finding the area of an odd shape. Well, I do computer drafting for a living, so I just sketched it up and had the solution in 2 minutes. Otherwise, I’m pleased that the forums are respectful of spoilers and generally offer several layers of hints instead of just flat-out giving a problem’s solution. Oh, and I’m long winded. Sorry about that.

Hiya! My name's Malachi, and I'm in sunny ol' central Florida! I recently learned about ARGs about a year ago, and have been researching, playing, and devouring every ARG that I come across. I kinda got bored with them, though, as most of them seemed rather poorly made, had no story, or were just too obscure/empty. Luckily, I heard about The Black Watchmen and wow I am glad about that! This is, by far, the most polished and top quality ARG I've ever seen. I'm also working on developing a "mini-ARG" that's exclusive to my local hometown of Leesburg, FL and the neighboring towns. I want the local residents to be able to go on a mysterious adventure that takes them all over the county, following riddles and solving puzzles to uncover clues about the county's dark occult past. Since it's local only, it needs to be more user-friendly and "mainstream". I was kind of worried that ARGs will always be tied to the obscure fringes of the internet, but after discovering The Black Watchmen and seeing all the wonderful polish and quality it has (like that tutorial which was marvelous), it's renewed my hope that ARGs and similar "experiential entertainment" are the way of the future.

Welcome! We have a decent amount of French speaking players, and since the dev team is located in Quebec they're all bilingual as well. Anashel in particular is someone you may find is easier to speak with in French. We also have a French language-specific subforum, you can find it here! Good luck with the missions!
