I just got the game after playing the demo and I can't get past the login screen. I enter in the same login information that I used in the demo, and just got the spinning logo. I faced a similar issue in the demo, but eventually got past it. But everything I did during the demo doesn't seem to work. I verified the steam files, let the game through my firewalls, reinstalled the game, ran it in administrator mode, and even ran a full system scan on my computer. Please help.
Hi Lone Wolf! You manage to log-in during the demo but you are not able to log-in anymore with the full game? Can you try a new account and tell me if there is any difference? Also, @raul_ct gave some good advice on the Steam Forums about issue with ATI Radeon card, I don't know if it may be your case? Here it is: "If you owe a Radeon like me (390), disable Gaming Evolved! I got the logo once, after that a black screen. Sound was ok, keyboard worked, but no view anymore. I installed the newest AMD package, 15.11, without result. I deleted the Steam program folder and reloaded the whole game, same...no result. I disabled the AMD Software, and wow...it works"
I hate to correct you here @Anashel but actually the info came from our forums by user @Zargh (this post) (Also it's spinning logo right after login, not black screen ) Also that should not happen anymore due patch you created for this Also i have encountered this issue in the past. It might be something to do with the account you have and dev's might need to get an account reset in game so the system can work again. I had the same issue and i tested with three different machines and with different network but no. So i think in-game account reset should do the trick but that is. What you could do is disable AV. That might do the trick or not.
I just tried registering a new login, got the same result: a nice spinning triangle at the registration for about 5 minutes.
I think I fixed it. The problem was something on my computer that my antivirus software picked up. I'm playing a mission now. Hopefully this issue won't come up again any time soon.
Hi @Lone Wolf ! What antivirus software do you use? It's not the first time I heard of antivirus conflicting with Unity game.
Ok, I am starting to feel like the simple task of starting this game is a Black Watchmen case in itself! Just yesterday, I managed to play a mission by verifying the game's cache. But today, I tried to play and I got the same spinning triangle we've been discussing . Sometimes I try a possible solution like scanning my computer or turning off my anti virus software and get to play a mission for a day, but when I try to play again, it seems the same solution doesn't work a second time! I don't know if others are experiencing this issue, but I would appreciate it if this got resolved once and for all as this kinda ruins the whole immersion this game possesses. I want to be able to log on with ease whenever I can, preferably without turning off my anti virus software (during my previous session it managed to block a couple of intrusions when I was conducting research). I would appreciate if we could resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Ok, I THINK I found a solution. If I verify my game's cache and then open it immediately afterwards, it runs fine. The past few times I've tried this it usually works. Hopefully this is the end of this big headache and I can finally play the game freely (and get more headaches trying to solve puzzles). Once again, I thank you for helping me try to solve this and for being patient with me, I really appreciate it. Now I just hope I can finish up Seasons 1 and 2 before Season 3 comes out.
Hi Lone Wolf, I am really sorry you ran in such issues, it's looks like something corrupt the game's cache if the only way to play the game is to verify it before you launch the game. This is really odd. I hope you can run the game smoothly for now on and enjoy the game!
