Hey, btw, we should keep an eye on Dylanalike. We don't know how he's going to take us murdering his friend, and the only one from his universe here. We should probably focus on sending him home.
awake again for a little while at least... dylanalike is fine I think, definitely not as dangerous as differ was... might be biased cus the both of them are being very good about the whole blankets and coffee thing...
@Aetheros and I are still working on a way to get Dylanalike home. I think we're pretty close to a breakthrough. Maybe we should consider sending Differ's body back to her own universe, too? I know she did a lot of awful things but it kind of feels wrong just keeping her here. There are probably people that will miss her somewhere.
Nobody is going to miss her there, outside of perhaps people in the Agency on her side. It's up to you, of course, but I'd say it doesn't matter either way. Maybe ask Dylanalike if he'd like to take the ashes back.
I'll leave that up to Dylanalike then. Either way, once I'm feeling better and back at HQ, I think we'll be able to start getting Dylanalike ready to go home.
That's good! I feel like this whole Christmas ordeal is over, which is good. It seems everyone at HQ has just about recovered.
Except for Differ. Though she deserved it. And those lab techs. And the armory crew I sent to help Godel. Oh, and anyone in the lower levels when you had the B52 bomb the base.
I'm still sorta mentally recovering, myself. So strange to think, if just a couple things had been different, Differ and I would be the same person. Scary, really, to see what you're capable of in such a way... Anyway, regarding all the corpses and whatnot, I think cleanup is well underway, Treble. Dylan, have you had a chance to talk to Dylanalike about whether or not he'd like to take Differ's ashes with him?
To be fair, under the correct conditioning and a very good set of VR goggles, anyone can be made to thing that they are Hitler in 1938. Had a guy in psy-ops do a demonstration during my training, it was hilarious.
The differences between Differ and I were not really that substantial, in the grand scheme of things. Kinda why it frightens me so much.

No, not like that. Recall how she used an event in your past to plant a false lead during the 'Eye of Gaia' incident? The universe that Differ and Dylanalike come from is very similar to ours, save a couple fairly minor things. The fact that those minor things could make someone who is essentially identical to me behave like that is super freaky.
I'm still not up to operational status quite yet. Still pretty beat up, and down an arm. And for the lower levels, they were mostly deserted, so hopefully no one was hurt. But it is scary to think that anyone of us could have ended up completely changed given a few events had gone differently in our lives. I wonder what their Gödel is like, or their Treble. Or how their universe is different as a whole, or what events pushed the clones to try and sap our universe for resources in the first place?
I'm too busy worrying about the other me that's in this universe to wonder about mes in other universes.
