Uh guys... We may have a problem... So the last I know, it's a Saturday afternoon and I'm chilling at HQ. Then I woke up here. Apparently I'm in Seattle. And it's a Tuesday!? So either I got incredibly drunk and somehow forgot what happened the past three days or... Who's seen Dylanalike recently?
Here it is. The big reveal. What you're searching for, and what you've sent a team to Seattle to retrieve, isn't actually the Eye of Gaia. The Eye of Gaia was hidden inside your Archives, but I knew it would take time to find, so I sent you on a wild goose chase. We learnt about the Obsidian artefact from our universe's Treble. His past experiences were the same as your own Treble's. We needed to come up with a back-up story and that one seemed perfect. The artefact is being contained by US Government in Seattle, but it is useless to us. We just needed to get you out of the way and buy us some time. As for the documents that Agent Godel found in the Archives? Why do you think the first place I went when I arrived in your universe were the Archives. I had prepared false documents and encrypted papers which I lay as a trap. Luckily you fell for them and focused your attention on the Obsidian artefact, instead of the actual Eye of Gaia. Oh, and just in case you were still confused. This is Dylanalike. The actual Dylan was the one we sent off in the helicopter with the actual MidDipper. Us doubles stayed here at HQ and blended in until we were able to find the Eye. The injection that I gave agents wasn't an antibody for the "toxin", it contained trans-dimensional fluid which confused the detectors Treble placed around HQ, causing them not to shoot at us. Now, with most of your Agents away from HQ and with a team out in Seattle, we can finally complete our ritual. We've sealed ourselves away in Micro C and will soon be opening the doorway. There's no way you can stop us now. Spoiler: We have the Eye of Gaia.
And then what? Your USA and our USA will destroy eachother and then, what, nothing else will happen. I can't figure what you'll get from this.
I wouldn't expect you to. Destruction isn't the goal here. Your reality isn't the first. Resources, even across the multiverse, are limited. Dylan and I have been working our fingers to the bone to secure resources(energy, mostly) for our reality. If we destroy everything, that makes this reality totally useless to us. We’re constructing what amounts to an interdimensional superhighway, so we can siphon off what we need for energy. The more realities we connect, the less we pull from each. Many hands makes light work, and all that. I hope that can give you some solace.
Anyway, you guys are too late all around. Spoiler: We're already well on our way to completing the ritual
Well, since noone else here seems to want to talk to you anymore. Just consider this. Instead of transfering energy and resources from our dimension and ultimately blocking our MidDippers lab. Why don't you open the rift somewhere nicely accessible, both of our dimensions set a monitoring post up with a way to close the rift if it gets to dangerous for one of the dimensions and instead of stealing from one another, we instead use the immense exoenergetic nature of this kind of rifts to turn the energy pouring through the rift from the interdimensional void into an energy supply for both our universes. So we maximise the sustain of both our worlds.
Do you know how to read? Energy doesn't come from nowhere. The portals are highly exogenic, yes, and we do harvest the energy off of them. That's how this whole system works. The interdimensional portals spew out energy that is derived from the 'time energy' of your reality, and we use devices on our side like a big vacuum cleaner to siphon it up(not sure how to explain the concept, it's not really my area). Ultimately, your reality will end sooner, and ours will continue to persist past what would have been its endpoint.
We're pretty much stealing the lifespan of your reality. It's hard to wrap your head around. Just accept that we've won.
Except that your scientist don't seem to have wrapped their head around how Time and "Universes" actually work. Sooo have fun ending our Universe sooner aswell. Because our Universe won't end. It will collapse, and because the rift at that point will already have gained such humongous size that you won't be able to close it in time. Your universe will collapse with ours. Cheers!
When you drain the 'time energy' of a universe, it doesn't cause it to collapse. It causes a gradual slow-down, in comparison to the rest of the multiverse, until it stops moving entirely. You won't notice anything at all, except maybe if you have any artifacts here that run on time energy. We've done this before, just because you don't understand it doesn't mean we don't.
No, I'm sorry, the part that you don't understand here is that this is actually not my universe. But if you searched the Archives you've probably already discovered that.
Soo, just to give you guys a little headsup on things here. This isn't my universe because I dont belong to any of them. Not the paralel iterations of this archetype nor the other archetypes, like the one you call hell. And their respective iterations. I'm one of those... how was it described again. "Non human beings we actually want IN the agency." since I don't come from a material plane, but rather an energetic one. So I exist outside of your multiversal plane. Meaning I do have some more out of the box insight on things then you have. The effect you describe as "Halting the progression of the dimension" is actually a change in the phase and offset of "Time" progression in said Universe iteration. Making it offset from yours so much that it becomes unobservable from your own flow of "Time" and thus retains the last obsevable state it had if looked at from your point of view. Which is why it appears frozen and is inaccessible from your Dimension through the rift you created. Sorry for posting a incorret theory beforehand, but you didn't make it clear enough what you meant by "time energy" there. So what you do, is you perform a reconfiguration of your neighboring realms. It is true that this shifts your realms state in a way that prolongs its existance before its ultimate collapse. But you can not do that for as long as you think. Soo... okay you might cut your dimension off of this one forever. But we don't loose and you will never actually win. On a sidenote, regarding these artifacts you mentioned. Its easy to reconfigure them to the new offset and phase so they work again.
Oh, in that case we'll just start destroying all the realities and taking the physical resources. Thanks for the heads up! Saves us a lot of trouble.
Oh and don't forget these nasty little cracks in you worlds hull. How often have you used these artifacts and how long was the rift open each time?
I believe Agent Godel was one of those who went to Seattle to try to stop us. If not and he's still at HQ, he has no way of getting to us.
Huh. You know that kinda makes sense in a way. But that would mean... You've sowed the seeds of your own defeat. Once you've opened the rift it'll be too late.
Out of all the days you could have picked to try and destroy the word, you choose today. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WORK I HAVE TO DO TODAY?! Alright, I think I'm all caught up. Since the lookalikes showed up, I've been getting strange energy readings off of Dylanamite and Middipper (either version of them). It seems to be that this energy is created as the multiverse tries to correct itself. It's trying to find a way to balance out having two of the same person contained inside the same universe, by constantly swapping energy between them. It's what's creating the connection between the two versions of our agents. If I'm right, the two eyes of gaia from the different universes should also have this energy exchange going on. I think I can manage to remotely halt this energy exchange on the Eyes, essentially putting both into a kind of stasis. It won't reverse the ritual, but it will put everything on hold until we figure out what to do. The question is, do we want to stop the ritual, or should we let them continue? It almost sounds like their universe is on the verge of destroying itself from all the cracks in it.
Either way will lead to us stopping them, one way or another. Stopping them now will resolve things way quicker though
