I dunno, they might have missed it! It's at least worth decoding the documents and finding anything else we can on it.

Additionally, I've finished repairs on Micro C, and I'm going to seal and unseal it a few times. You'll hear the usual quarantine alarms near here but don't worry, nothing is actually wrong, just a test! :)

No, I mean I know where it is

    @Treble and @MidDipper
It make sense that it's not in the archives, from the manuscripts I read the Agents that originally discovered the artificat wanted to keep it a secret and hidden, to avoid the risk of destroying the universe.

Wait what, where is it then?

I can't tell you. At least, not right now. I'll have to get command to authorize me to do so. What happened to it is really, really classified. Like, burn every document that has to do with it and some that don't, and fire almost everyone involved. The only reason I avoided the axe was because I got men out of there alive and took a bullet to do so.

Dylanalike mentioned a device that sounds nothing like that... Perhaps there's another multi-dimensional device he used to get here?

This doesn't sound good. It seems they're still chasing down the Eye of Gaia, so what I think is happening is that they discovered a way to send limited amount of resources without the eye, but to send the invasion for they still need the portal the two connected eyes can provide. But if they have the capability to cross dimensions without the eye, they might be able to send reinforcement, so more doubles, and possibly more weapons and supplies.

Seconding 'where is it'? If you can get authorization to tell us, it might make it easier to thwart whatever it is they're planning...

If you say it's in Seattle I'm going to pitch a fit.

Even if the eye isn't in Seattle, we should still send a task force to try and apprehend the clones, or at a minimum monitor their movements. In the meantime we should call up the brass to give access to the info we're missing. It's fairly safe to say we're too involved, and know too much to not let us in on the secrets; at this point secrecy is only going to limit necessary operation readiness and our ability to respond.

Ok, well, make sure they don't do anything dumb like try to shoot down the copter. That would hurt. Let me know when you get word from the higher ups, I'm gonna get to work trying to recover some of my research. Dylan is still doing his work in the Archives, AFAIK, but I'm sure he'll let us all know if he finds something crucial. Things are beginning to normalize, just like I said... :) we got this.

Yeah I'm feeling hopeful that we can do this after all!

I just got confirmation that, given the circumstances, I can talk about what happened to the artifact.

It was back in 2006, before I joined the agency. I was still with the Army, in the Middle East. We were tasked with rescuing this black ops guy who got trapped in the middle of a hostile village, it turns out he was one of yours, but we weren't told that. I learned later that he went rogue for unknown reasons and stole an artifact from you guys, then fled to a place that doesn't really have extradition. He probably bribed the locals to keep quiet about him.

Anyways, I was under the impression that we were rescuing him, but our squad leader had orders to slip him some potassium chloride in the guise of a sedative after we had captured him, and return the artifact to high command. So, we roll in, and immediately find the guy strung up in the middle of the village square. Never knew exactly what he did to anger the locals, probably just didn't deliver on what he promised. They must have just did it, because there were still hostiles searching his stuff. They took off the moment they saw us, so we grabbed his gear and left. Right before he put it in his pocket, I saw my squad leader slip an artifact that sounded exactly like the Eye out of a hidden pocket. He was about to say something, probably a command for me to ignore it, when the explosion rocked our truck. It was probably just a grenade, a RPG would have killed us, but it tour through our engine and killed the driver. The truck behind us pulled up and tried to get us out, while automatic fire was coming from the buildings surrounding us. Their driver was killed, as well as several of the guys in our truck, including our squad leader. I took a bullet in the leg as I was getting into the driver's seat, but managed to drive away before we got surrounded. I ended up in a hospital for a couple months, during which someone from the CIA explained that I was getting a medal, an honorable discharge, and possibly a bullet if I ever spoke about this incident again.

As far as I know, the artifact was still with my commander when he went down. I'm not entirely sure what happened to it next, but I do know that who we believed to be the leader of the militia in that village was appointed to the upper echelon of Al-Queda sometime in the following year. It's thin, but I believe they recovered the artifact and gave it to bin Laden for a promotion. From there, it isn't too big of a leap to imagine that ST-6 recovered it when they stormed his compound.

So I know about where it is, in the possession of the US Government. They're denying it, and given our relationship with them we are in no position to force them to give it to us. It might be in Seattle, but wherever it is, it'll likely be in the same place where the US is keeping the rest of its artifacts they've recovered. If the doubles find the Eye, they'll also have access to every dark secret the US has locked away for the past two centuries.

This is turning into a clusterfuck again. I may or may not have contacts from my old job that may or may not be able to divulge possibly pertinent information. Let me put out some feelers and get back to you.

OK, so, here's what I've got for you...

The Eye is definitely in the possession of the US Government, based solely on the speed with which all of my contacts denied any knowledge of it. Usually they at least have the courtesy to look around a bit before they say 'no', but nope. So everyone is clammed up tight about it. I think it's likely to be in a facility in the Pacific Northwest region, I unfortunately can't give you a specific location because I don't know it. I was never at that facility and even if I was they take great precautions not to allow anyone to definitively locate it on a map or otherwise. Probably not in the heart of Seattle, if I'm going with my gut here. However, the fact is that the doubles headed straight for that area without any prior knowledge, meaning they probably have some way to locate the Eye and thus the facility. The biggest problem is that my double is identical to me to the cellular level-- which means that she may be able to use my old credentials to bluff her way past the first layer or two of security, and get close enough to the Eye to cause some serious trouble.

You could just tell them to revoke your credentials for a certain period of time, and give them a randomly generated password to derevoke them

I would if I had a reliable way to get in contact with that facility. They're off-grid, basically. I managed to cannibalize another relationship and get some more information for you, looks like it's based somewhere in Olympia National Park. Looks like our strike team is going on a camping trip. I'm sure if you had a way to track the helicopter it would be circling that area as well...

So are we sending a team out to Seattle? I'm making a headway into decoding these documents in the Archive so it's best if I stay here. I don't particularly want to get close to my double, and I can continue to try and trace the helicopter too.

If someone hasn't already sent a team to Seattle, we should get on that ASAP.

On a similar train of thought, has anybody played around with the connection between the lookalikes and our versions of Middipper and Dylanamite yet? If there is a physical connection, there just might be a mental or spiritual connection too. Might be useful if we can get a tap on their thoughts or track them down using that connection. Might also be useful to know if it's possible for the lookalikes to be doing the same. Agent Middipper, Agent Dylanamite, is it possible each of you could just try meditating on your lookalike for a bit and see if you get any sort of mental connection. Can you tell where they are, or what they're thinking or feeling if you try? Even a basic impression might be helpful. (Of course, there's no guarantee you'd get any conclusive evidence with that method. I could run some tests, but that would require either agent Middipper or Dylanamite to give me permission to dig around their mind and/or soul, since I have no other confirmed cases and no one else I could test this on. So, really, I think trying the meditation thing is your best bet, guys.)

I hope a team has been sent out, it's our only solid lead...

As for my double, whatever she's doing has kept me up all night. My sleep schedule is ruined. I've also got an upset stomach so she probably isn't eating anything, we can rule restaurants and grocery stores out of the equation. I'll meditate on it but no promises-- I hate meditating and will probably give up really fast.

Hmm. Thank you for the info, Middipper. If you could keep me informed on anything you feel that might be out of the ordinary, that would be great. Abnormal emotions, strange thoughts/actions, or headaches would be a good place to start, but anything you think is odd, even the smallest detail might be useful. I want to try and pinpoint exactly how this connection works, and if we can exploit it. Especially if we find any more of these guys running around in the future. I am very curious to see if the connection is only physical, or if it goes beyond that.
