TLDR: Dylanalike is trying to find an artifact we have hidden in the archives, to open a portal to his multiverse, so his people can invade. And if he or Dylanamite dies, they both die. While I was researching my curse, I stumbled across an artifact that would allow the wielder to travel to different multiverses, know as the Eye of Gaia. It sends you to a similar multiverse (one way trip), and bonds your soul to an alternate version of you. Sounds familiar right? Here's the problem, each multiverse has an Eye of Gaia, and if they come in contact with each other, they open a permanent portal between the two multiverses. Problem with this include: 1. Being completely unstable, often destroying one multiverse. 2. Opening the door to Locust, or a population from a dying multiverse (i.e. about to face an apocalypse) who are willing to kill the population of one multiverse to secure their own survival. So, when I started reading about our new guest, I decided to come back to HQ to warn security. But knowing my luck I immediately ran into Dylanalike, who was planting spiders in the vents. He saw me, and let's just say, he comes from a universe with high gravity so he's stronger, and is a pretty good fighter. I suspect he's using the chaos to try and track down the our Eye of Gaia which is hidden in the archives, and open the portal, and probably try to kill us all. *Powers Orb Gun* Sorry Dylan, because your souls are linked, this is going to hurt you too.
You know, we could just... Get this orb thing before he does. Dylanalike probably doesn't know how to navigate our archives, and there are some neat little traps down there that will definitely slow him down. I think even our Dylan doesn't know about some of them... BTW, in case you're worried about the cats, I found some(non-modified) hunting dogs that I've let loose to round up the cats for you.
Sounds like, a good idea, but we have no record, as to it's location. It was meant to be kept as a secret. I only know about it because I was digging around some really old and obscure manuscripts that we had.
@Treble Can I get you help hunting this guy down through the archives? I think the OMEGA system would definitely come in handy.
*Through OMEGA Blue prime* We had to temporarily disable the anti-personnel sound cannon on the AI models. Mine is still active, but the AI is getting a bit screwy with it and using it to shatter all glass objects in the immediate area.
I'd rather not release all sorts of mystery liquid around us while we track down other Dylan, especially if it gives away our position
You've got the only orb gun, it's pretty advanced tech and we haven't been able to replicate it. Hell, we didn't even know what it did until a few days ago. But we still have a whole host of nonlethal options from the Blues, Dylan might just get a few unfortunate bruises.
Feel sorry for Dylan, though I'll just consider it returning the favor for the spiders and bear wolves. Jeez, even when Dylan is from another multiverse, he almost gets me killed.
I go on break for a few days and everything's gone crazy. Why do I feel like this is the normal state of things around here? Can't help much with locusts to catch the spiders or cats to catch the locusts or dogs to catch the cats (Anyone else feeling a nursery rhyme coming along?), but if you need any advice on which 17th century curse is best for causing a horrible case of chicken pox, let me know. If we're having doppleganger problems, and the doppleganger is connected to our Dylan, maybe knocking regular Dylan out would knock lookalike Dylan out as well? Regular Dylan might be easier to track down.
That's... actually a pretty good idea. I'll send one of the omegas to track him down using the sentry cams
Regular Dylan is drunk in an elevator probably. Meaning Dylan2 is probably drunk by association, but likely not in an elevator.
Hopefully, that will help us track down Dylan 2, or at least it will impede his progress. Dylan's rampant alcoholism is actually going to help us, what an odd turn of events. When we find Dylan 1, we should tell him to do what he does best: getting drunk in the midst of a crisis.
Okay so I've just had dylanalike rush into my office telling me you guys are hunting him down and I was all like "nah m8 those guys are cool they wouldn't do that" and then he showed me this thread which I forgot he has access to. Um. I'm not too sure about this. Naturally I don't want you guys to capture him but if you're sure he's gonna bring about destruction or whatever (he says he isn't) then I don't know.
If we could just talk to him, and not have to chase him down, maybe that'd be less stressful for all involved parties.
So I've been flipping through the various feeds and I've noticed that there are these weird runes drawn in blood all over the archives. It looks fresh.
I've got the dogs down here trying to sniff out the source of the blood. @dylanamite I hope this is all just a terrible misunderstanding, but considering the major risk to our continued existence, and how I saw him planting the spiders in the vent, I think it's imperative that we secure the second Dylan. So if he's willing to turn himself in peacefully, please encourage him to do so. It's not like we can kill him considering the connection you two have.
