With the killer cat catastrophe over, things are beginning to return to the 3 day normal we have around here between disasters. The successful field test of the OMEGA Blue project has accelerated the project's development schedule, as well as the schedule of other such projects. As the quartermaster of the armory, I direct most of these projects, alongside professionals from the Archives or Sciences when appropriate. We are looking to start field testing all ready projects in the coming months. We have opened this process up to fit, able volunteers who wish to test pilot some of the most advanced gear in TBW arsenal. Military experience is helpful, but not necessary for most of these projects. Project subleads are currently developing a synopsis of their projects, however interested volunteers can indicate their intention to join a project now.
That depends on what you sign up for. Generally speaking these assignments are safe, some more than others, but there are cases where we use live ammo. Accidents can happen, but I'd say it's extremely unlikely that things will get out of hand in normal situations. That being said, if you sign up for the "Super Flying Flaming Batsuit" (Official name pending) trials, there is a significant risk of Daed
Everyone who wants to volunteer signs up here, and can specify which team they want in on if they have a preference.
Ok I've got the first few project briefs, there should be a few more to come. Project OMEGA Blue: Project Sublead: Agent Treble Nonlethal humanoid drones with simple AI. Armaments include arc tasers with adjustable voltage, MP5 loaded with nonlethal (beanbag) rounds, high intensity sound projectors with adjustable frequency, and ability to perform several CQC techniques. Volunteers needed for testing the remote VR control function of these units Project "Super Flying Flaming Batsuit" (Official name pending) Project Sublead: Agent Daedalus Volunteers needed to test flight capabilities of suit in various weather conditions. The flame retardation of the suit, as well as the action of onboard flamethrowers, may also be tested at the volunteer's discretion. Project Coiled Viper: Project Subleads: Agent Vermilyn (Weapons Expert) and Agent Walker (Science Expert) Volunteers needed to test fire a prototype coilgun, or Gauss rifle, in several unique weather conditions including snow, hail, and winds generated from an F3 tornado. Project Sunshot: Project Sublead: Agent Clermire Volunteers needed to test fire a prototype weapon that uses solar energy to power a laser from a missile defense system. Said laser has been grafted onto a rifle frame. Specific inquiries are the maximum range of this device, as well as the properties of its battery.
Project Sunshot sounds like a lot of fun, have shot anything cool in a while. Though I don't know if I should try any one of these projects considering my luck, though I do seem to come out alive. And if anything did go wrong, these are experimental, so it would be helpful to the design team to find bugs in the system, what do you think Treble?
