I was wandering around HQ the other day and I came across a door I haven't seen before in the...west wing, I think it was? It was unlocked, so I just kinda...went in. It looks just like a small orchestra pit, with a few back rooms that I guess contain musical instruments? I just peeked in, but there was a ridiculous amount of just...STUFF back there. Not even just music stuff, a lot of junk, like it hasn't seen much use lately outside of storage. I guess my point here is...does anyone know anything about this room, and do you guys think it'd be safe if I just...cleaned it up a bit and started looking into all that's here? It seems like there's a lot of potential, and there might be some interesting stuff tucked away.
I'd be careful about exploring rooms that seem abandoned here. Easy to get lost... or worse. I'd double check with archives to see exactly what that room is or was before you stay there for long periods of time.
Update: Already went ahead and moved my desk here. It was pretty easy considering my desk is actually just a breakfast-in-bed table and my laptop. I'm gonna start with the one back room that's actually unlocked. There's a few music stands and crates stacked up in the doorway, though, so I'm just going to clear those out. It shouldn't take too long.
As far as I know that should be fine, just don't move the upright bass. We were experimenting with musical weaponry and now it will either shatter your ear drums or make you crap your pants, depending on its mood.
I'll...keep that in mind. In fact, I'll make a note on my hand. A drawing of an upright bass with a big 'Do Not' symbol around it. I should actually have some of our records files on hand for some of these instruments... I'll make a label on the door here, just for clarity's sake. The one I'm in right now, the unlocked one with all the crates, is going to be 'Music Storeroom A'. I'll update the records as I find things, because right now it's all kinda...vague. :/
Update: Music Storeroom contained, in total, three music stands, a music stand sharpened into a spear, a subcontrabass flute that I almost mistook for piping running through the room, and three empty crates, all labelled 'Air Guitars'. So far nothing in the records, so these were all left by people who worked here at some point. Does anyone know how to pick a lock? Because the three other rooms are all locked up tight.
That's interesting. Never heard of that room before. It sounds pretty cool though! Let me know if you need any help sorting it out. Maybe we can get the rest of unofficial Division 69 to help out too.
Well I definitely need some kind of help to get what I am now dubbing 'Music Storeroom 2' open. Get down here and help me or something. It's the first door on the right after the opening to the vent that one guy died in.
Hm. True. Uh...Do you know where we keep all those gargoyles? Because I just found out it's like, two doors down from that one.
I don't think I've found one yet... Oh. Is your clarinet black or purple? And does or does it not have tiny little skulls carved into it? Dylan just arrived, he's trying...something to open the door. Not quite sure what, but he seems to be putting a lot of effort into it from the noises he's making. I'm just kinda looking around the cases that were left in the big open area. There's like, three or four on the ground, and one that's stuck to the ceiling that I'll have to get down sometime... Actually, does your clarinet float? Because if so, come by sometime. And bring the tallest ladder you can find.
Can I use it as a recording room? The neighbors, despite complimenting my beautiful voice and calling it "quite lovely" and "certainly something," have asked me to tone it down.
Well, 'Music Storage Room A' looks pretty clean right now...if you have your own equipment, be my guest. Just be careful, I'm not EXACTLY sure where I put the air guitars from those crates, so it may actually be extremely cluttered. Just head in, and if you hear a loud crash you may owe... Uh... Oooh. You may owe Jarobi quite a bit of money. Looks like they're vintage Jimi Hendrix. Jeez. So yeah, watch your step, and you should be fine.
Okay so...the good news is that I have it here. The bad news is that it's being used to prop up a piano. Looks like it's seen better days, but feel free to come down and pick it up.
