How Far Did You Get Lost ?

    Hello everyone.

I started this topic because i'm now becoming an expert at going way too far in my investigations (as some of you probably do too) but my researches often hits some interesting datas. Even if those are not directly related to the mission, they tend to be cool, call it "happy accidents" in puzzlemaking by our dearly loved puppetmasters (do i sound honest ?).

Anyway. If you even encounter crispy details or shocking infos when looking too far, post it here so we can all enjoy and facepalm in reaction with what you can discover sometimes.

I'll start with what i found in Mission 3 :
The "circa 1809" was apparently intended as a date to age the item we find during the mission. But it is also a code leading to Brockamour Manor, the place where was created the "Bro Code", which in a few words, was 5 rules to make you a total party-animal and complete douche with your fellow comrades in the 17th century. http://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/06/12/dude-check-it-the-bro-code-circa-1809/

And also talk about what i unearthed in the open beta (although not a spoiler since we cannot replay it, i'll treat it as one so we can gain some space and lisibility) :
An archive number on one of the clue documents was a date, that date led me to this : http://animalnewyork.com/2015/watch-russian-artists-perform-exorcism-lenins-tomb-get-arrested/
The mission was already about exorcism and demonic presences, that was the cherry on the cake.

    Okay, your turn.

When I did mission three, I though Cicada was a part of the game so I spent two hours researching those puzzles and trying (vainly) to come up with solutions. I was halfway through my remaining sanity by the time I realized I was playing someone else's game.

While looking into the mission that references the Semipalatinsk test site and discovering the photos were real, I starting digging into the history of the Polygon site and URDF-3. Pursuing this lead, I ended up with this declassified CIA document regarding a remote sensing test conducted to determine what the Soviets were doing at URDF-3.

Sometimes the truth can be far weirder...

    Ha nice!
I went way off with mission 3:
I searched the second code on the white note just about everywhere (because decoding didn't lead to anything readable). Finally I found out that it's a valid location in Google maps (if you place spaces between every 2 numbers). It points to the center of a city called "Cancún" in Mexico. Why is that location interesting? I thought if you want to go to Cuba quietly, you take a boat to Cuba and the city Cancún has the closest harbor on the mainland. Why Cuba? Well I found Cuban money in the same picture so I was sure this guy was going to Cuba.
Decoding the first code on the same note was easy, so I searched pastebin for Cancún mexico and actually found files about a hacked server with login data + passwords, and one user was from this city. I had no idea so I searched on and found the website the login info was taken from. But the website was pretty much empty. I also searched info about the website hosting service and found out it was maintained by someone with the same email adress / name as the first website.. interesting.. After 5 hours I thought this was getting crazy and probably way to deep so I started over again :D

I'd also like to note that pastebin is getting littered with all the possible wrong answers from mission 3. New agents are actually placing new stuff there thinking it leads to something. This might make it harder to find the right file.

    Heyo, i got lost (again).

My research made me found that canadian movie, it looks rather neat and it's totally Black Watchmen themed https://vimeo.com/ondemand/ms45

I am actually not sure if i got lost here - or found something which may be part of another mission (or another ARG).

I stumbled upon a new Website - IRC chat confirmed that this one is not part of an ongoing mission.
However - the Website looks like a complete fake - and it is in fact the logical solution of the riddle for Mission 13 part 2.
Open the spoiler part and risk to see something which may not be intended to look at already

To get you into the picture again, in mission 13 part 2 you surf at the website "abs-temple.com".
The question in the client was that we need to find out which group is behind this website

Unter the image you click on the link - a site opens asking
"What perfect gift did the second innocent give to our ancient order?"

    Toughts :
1.) In the literature a lot refer to Jesus Christ as the "second innocent"
2.) The "gift" he gave to the world is "eternal life"
3.) Lets see what google prints out when combining "eternal life" and "ancient order"
The first link that comes is http://www.thebrotherhoodofthesnake.com
The illiminati sign and the general appearance, the weird linked graphics and the occult glibberish all say that it is some sort of fake website.
Also, according to whois the website is created October 2014 (so quite new).
The answer "brotherhood of the snake" would be a valid answer for the asked question as well ;-)
I may have stumbled upon a website from another ARG - or perhaps at something new which we may need in upcoming missions
    any toughts ?

People that are not part of the game, DANGER!

There was a Mission where you have to get in contact with a member of the rosenberg clinic that is not listet on http://rosenbergclinic.com/. If you search the name you will find a person with the same name working for the u.s army research laboratory :-D. First I thought she was maybe a part of the game.

Maybe the devs should change the name before people are getting into trouble when they try SE like in the mission before :) !

That's a little easter egg I believe. A reference to a past mission!

I don't necessarily know if this counts, but when doing the mission to visit the Morpho Medical website, I thought it was an actual website that just had a bit of info you needed on it, so I looked everywhere for a customer support number to call because I generally dislike online chat support on websites like that. Little did I know, I'd have to use it lol. After googling, etc. I found the number to the owner of a cafe in California; I live in GA.
