I know this one will come in the top: 'OMG WHERE IS THE PAYPAL BUTTON!' As you know, Kickstarter don't support paypal. Even if you open a side account, the pledge are not calculated in the Kickstarter overall goal AND if you don't reach your goal, you have to manually refunds everyone, with Paypal locking your account at least three time because they don't talk to each other at the support division and it's simply put: an expensive hell... PayPal support will be open ONLY up when we will have reach our objective of 40k CAD. That way, we know we won't have to manually handle the expensive refunds process + the fees. We will add this information to the site quickly, I know many of you would have prefer another answer but sadly, this is the position we will have to take on PayPal this time around.
That's disappointing... Understandable (considering Paypal, as a company, is pretty wretched), but disappointing nonetheless . You heard the man... Now quick! Break out those credit cards so the Paypallers can get in on the action, too! -Bats
It is a tough call but knowing the previous trouble with refunds it's understandable. That said refunds shouldn't be an issue this time around should it? *digs deep into pocket*
Fair call, actually. Considering the issues that refunding was giving in the previous attempt, re-using the cause of the hubbub would've probably made people a bit more uneasy. Considering it's going to a be a moot point once the funding surpasses 40k, I see no issue with the decision at all. Nor do I see a reason why the funding should fail this time. *does the "hot potato" juggle with his credit card, juggling it back and forth between his hands*
*snatches the card, wincing through the severe burns, and tosses it to Anashel* Catch! -Bats (and as frustrating as it was for the first campaign to fail, the delay worked out well for me - it means I can actually afford to spend more on this one before having to refer back to the ramen recipe thread... err, I hope... *double checks the bank balance and pantry*)
Very understandable. PayPal will be available at some point, I expect. I see a "change payment method" link on the Manage Payment page where Kickstarter says: So the way I see it, there will be some time to flip my payment method to PayPal if that is the way it needs to happen. But, to get to that point and to help make the 40k goal, Kickstarter needs a card number. Maybe just need to get a prepaid so to get some skin in the game. Then when PayPal opens up - contribute some more for the stretch goals.

Doh, I wish I'd known earlier so I could cash out the money I left in my PayPal for this I guess I'll be a couple weeks, but I'm still gonna pledge!
